“The Be All and End All”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2012

This is a treasure only a few seconds' drive from the beach. Our first night began with a warm welcome. As the door to our studio apartment opened we were stunned by the great decor -simply tasteful classic with modern lines. Nestled in the trees we enjoyed privacy and a view to the water framed by native bush. The next day we moved to a one-bedroom apartment to be with three other family members (total four adults, one child). This worked extremely well and was great value for money. We were placed next to other family members which made life easy and a real chance for us to be together. So this is suitable for a single, couple or group stay. This will make your holiday. Previously I have not enjoyed holidays at Paihia (due to the other accommodation elsewhere) but staying here changed my view of Paihia permanently. I can't wait to return and will only stay here! I even wanted to keep it a secret but the owners deserve praise for their beautiful creation and being so accommodating and hospitable. I read that Waiora means health and this is definitely a healthy choice in every sense of the word.

“Peaceful relaxful and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

We stayed one night and were very pleased. The rooms were big, the bathroom modern, kitchen had everything we needed and the outlook serene.
Bed was perfect, the host very friendly and accomodating - even helping us access the net.
Would certainly recommend it as suitable to my friends, etc.

“Paihia's Best Kept Secret”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

Beautifully positioned within a native bush setting, this is the perfect property for those looking for something a little bit special. Providing a range of apartment types, our studio apartment was modern, clean and well-presented. The apartment did not have air conditioning or a ceiling fan, but we did not experience any discomfort because of this. The kitchen provided a microwave, ceramic cooktop and fridge, adjacent to a small lounge area with 2 chairs, built in window seat and TV. Off the lounge/bedroom area were doors leading to a semi-private deck (partitioned from the unit next door). The large bathroom offered both a bath and a separate shower which was an unexpected treat. A comfortable king size bed guaranteed a great night’s sleep, as we drifted off to the sounds of the bush and then awoke the next morning to birdsong. An easy 3 min stroll through the olive trees on the lower level of the property will take you to the local supermarket and in another 2 min you’ll be at the beach. The tariff was extremely competitive and the owners very friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely stay there again.

“Fabulous stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

We were only here for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Very friendly welcome and superbly appointed accommodation. The apartments are in a tranquil location surrounded by trees. Although the accommodation is slightly out of town it is within easy walking distance of the Waitangi treaty grounds. If you are visiting the Bay of Islands we can thorougly recommend a stay here.
