Booked at last minute and was very happy to find one of the most tidiest motels I ever stayed in. Close to all amenities as well as a quality view across the bay with the beach just meters away, we couldn't ask for more. Well done Denis and Aileen, keep up the great work!

I travel for business and, when in the area, always travel for an extra hour after my working day has finished to stay with Aileen & Dennis. I have done this for a few years now as their accommodation is as comfortable and well appointed as any modern home.
I stayed most recently with my teenage daughter for two days. We both loved the proximity to the beach & shops and the gorgeous pool/spa area.
Booking a room is simple and accurate. Check in and check out is never a fuss and Aileen does her upmost to accommodate arrival and departures out of normal office hours.
The motel is situated on a corner with units well back from the road so both foot and vehicle traffic noise is minimal. With no motels right next-door noise from other visitors is also minimal.
Rooms are fitted out with all the necessities required for a self-sufficient stay as well as having tasteful art and stylish modern decor.
Nothing is a problem for these lovely hosts and definitely add value to the stay with their excursion, dining, shopping suggestions.
This level of service is continuous with high standards maintained throughout the year.
The Anchorage Motel is the gold standard other establishments should aspire to.

I have stayed here many times over the years - Aileen & Dennis are always very welcoming and maintain very high standards. The motel is perfectly situated right across the road from a safe beach and is within walking distance from everything. The units are continually being maintained and each time I visit it is an adsventure to find out what they have come up with to improve my stay.

We had visitors from the UK and were showing them around the far north of New Zealand and booked into the Anchorage 3 days before arriving. The reservation was handled most professionally and on arrival we were greeted by name and shown to our upstairs unit which had every facility we expected at a 4 star plus resort and more. The unit was beautifully presented and the views were exceptional.

During our stay we sought advice from the operators about local attractions and eateries and we were given more than enough information to make our stay and recreational activities first class.

Every property should aspire to the very high standards of cleanliness, comfort and hospitality that we experienced at the Anchorage.
