I stayed at this very centrally located and newly refurbished property for 2 nights on business. On arrival could not find a park onsite as it was a very busy weekend at the hotel. The receptionist was helpful though and directed me over the road to the "Pitstop" carpark which they had been given permission to use. I was a little concerned as I had a car full of stock for my business meetings and was worried about security. She assured me it would be OK but in the end I actually managed to get a park onsite for both overnights. The fact that the parking was free was great too.
Was impressed with the smart new decor, room was nice and comfy, had some nice touches and the bed was good too. I enquired about internet and was told it was $10 per 24 hrs for unlimited data which I was impressed by. Easy to access also. Furthermore I was told the next day when I went to get another code that it was actually free for the whole stay which blew me away - not many hotels can match that!
A few little details would have improved the stay. No wine glasses in the room but receptionist was very helpful and able to provide me with one on request. Also would have appreciated a plate and maybe a set of cutlery as I didn't want to eat out all the time and bought some food to have in the room but it was hard to eat without any plate/cutlery etc. I had to crouch to get my head under the shower and water temp fluctuated from very hot to cold through my shower both days.
The room I had was a little noisy, being right on the busy street and on a busy weekend, Would ask for a quieter room next time.
One thing that did really annoy me was that I found out when I checked out that I was apparently on a bed and breakfast package (I had not remembered this from when I booked) BUT nothing was said to me on check-in about breakfast at all. There was nothing in the room either to indicate this - no tag to hang on the door or anything else. Also with the restaurant not open yet I didn't realise any food was available onsite. It wasn't until I went to check out after the 2nd night that the receptionist said "have you had breakfast yet" - when I asked what she meant she informed me breakfast was included with my room rate. I found this pretty poor as I would certainly have used the breakfast had I known. No apology was made for not having informed me - she just looked at me blankly!
It was a shame to end what was essentially a good stay on this unfortunate note.
