“A bit of luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Great stay once again, a treat for us! Comfortable and clean, friendly staff and handy to everything we needed.
Great BBQ area overlooking the beach (apart from losing sun later in afternoon!) Will endeavour to stay here when in Napier if we can, highly recommended.

Room Tip: didn't know there was a swimming pool???

Chose this on the strength of good TA reviews and was not disappointed.
Large room, balcony facing the water, free wifi, free parking under the building, everything clean and tidy as expected. Self assessed as 5 star, but I would like a safe in the room and a luggage rack for that. Owner/manager was particularly friendly and helpful. Really good pizza from the place just below, good supermarket just along the road, easy to drive to the centre and its free/cheap parking..... If we come back to Napier, this is where we would stay for sure...

We stayed for two nights, to give ourselves one full day in Napier. The wharf area has a range of restaurants & shops in renovated buildings and is a couple of km away from the centre of town, with a village-within-the-city vibe.

Navigate is purpose built with a spacious, modern design. Our room was large and clean with plenty of space for suitcases and two desk areas. The bathroom had a walk in shower and lovely complimentary toiletries. Breakfast at an integrated cafe (one dish but no drinks) was included and seemed very popular with locals as well as residents.

Reception were very helpful and even arranged to forward on some items we accidentally left behind - much appreciated!

Stayed for two nights while visiting rellies, so was more somewhere to lay our heads. My first impression was it could be noisy, but with the double glassing we didn't hear any noise. Unfortunately the wind prevented us from sitting on the balcony, but it would be lovely on a summers afternoon or for breakfast in the morning.
My one suggestion is a large knife to cut things with. Trying to cut a loaf of brad with a paring knife is a delicate operation.

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting Napier. A nice newish (and not unattractive) building just across the road from the sea. The rooms were very clean, quite large, and had most things you could need in a motel including a private balcony with a couple of chairs to sit outside. A bonus is the on site café which offers breakfast and lunch options. You can get your breakfast delivered to your room if you wish rather than go to the café.

Difficult to rate service in this sort of motel, it is pretty much a room to use as you will, however the owners were very helpful when we checked in and out, and I'm sure would have dealt with any issues - we didn't have any so no direct experience. The room was serviced each day - but only if you ask for it to be done.

I got a deal on Grabone, so it was economical and I had a wonderful stay here.
The location is great, you can't find a better location to stay if you are into beach and biking.
The restaurant "Hot chick" is across the road if you like roasted chicken.

Thanks Chris for the excellent review. Yes we think Ahuriri is a fantastic location close to town yet far enough away that you feel you are on holiday by the beach and in a quiet setting. Love to have you back - thank you.

A weekend getaway. Well appointed rooms. Very clean & the little things that make a difference - lovely linen, towels, soaps, plunger coffee, comfy pillows & beds, queit rooms, lovely outdoor space to sit & friendly & honest staff. I left a few bits behind & it was couriered to me within days. Definitely recommend. Sol cafe next door was great too. Thanks Navigate Seaside.
