“Very welcoming and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2011

We stayed with John and Margaret and we had a really comfortable enjoyable stay in this beautiful area. There is lots to see in Napier and Hawkes Bay. Nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming and lovely room and bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Very high standard. John suggested an itinerary which we might make in the car to see the best of Hawkes Bay and this was an excellent tip, we had a great day. We also went on a wine tasting tour with John and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

They are a lovely couple and definitely in the right job!

Extremely friendly and comfortable. Cannot thank John and Margaret enough for their kindness during our trip. John also runs a brilliant in depth guided tour of Napier. Not to be missed. Nothing was too much trouble for this great couple. If you want a home from home stay, this is the place to be. Thanks to you both.

My son and I stayed at this fabulous B&B for 5 nights. John and Margaret are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. This place I must say is the best accomodation Ive ever had the pleasure of staying in. Extremely comfortable and clean, with great attention to detail. I highly recommend the Nest Haven to be one of he best places to visit.

Just got back from 6 wonderful nights at this brilliant B & B. John and Margaret made us feel so welcome and at home, that when we said goodbye it felt like it was to a friends.
The rooms are very clean, well furnished and have great bathrooms. Clean towels are provided daily and the room is cleaned. Tea and Coffee is available non stop and so is helpful local information on the area and useful tips and advice.
John and Margaret are great hosts and really do know and understand the hospitality business. They give personal service and are very professional.
We will certainly be staying again in this home from home the next time we visit Napier.

We visited Nest Haven at the very beginning of February and were warmly welcomed by the weather as well as by our excellent host John. Unfortunately his wife Margaret had to be away from home at the time, but John did a first rate job of looking after us during our 3-night stay. Our bedroom was prettily, but not fussily, decorated, spotlessly clean and well provisioned - likewise the modern ensuite shower room. The continental breakfast was good. Nest Haven's stated aim is to provide a "home away from home", as indeed many B&Bs do, but in this case it really lived up to the mark and the friendly atmosphere and easy company John provided made us feel perfectly comfortable using the kitchen etc as we wanted. We also had the pleasure of joining one of John's bus trips around the Napier area - he runs Hawkes Bay Scenic Tours - and this too proved to be both interesting and fun. We left feeling we had made a friend as well as getting the most out of our all-too short stay.

Marg and John are just the most wonderful of hosts. They have terrific suggestions for things to do and see in the Napier area and share it ,if you so desire. John has a tour company which he geers to please his clients and which guests and welcome to avail themselves of if they choose
The rooms are lovely and the en-suites fabulous. The sheets are fine and ironed by hand.
I wanted to take these two home with me. They are just the loveliest of people.
Their home is close to shopping and restaurants but not in the centre of town but very easily accessible to downtown if you have transportation. It is easy to find from south or north and is very close to two terrific wineries.
This was our first of 10 B&B stays and absolutely one of the best.
