This hotel represents a trilogy of perfections:

1. Great location: Only a road separates it from the waterfront
2. Family Focus: On the waterfront there are a fantastic range of well constructed activity
quadrants ranging from mini-golf to skating and scooter ramps to cycle tracks. a real Family
oriented Mecca.
3. Friendly staff: You just have to say that David said that they must take care of you.

Also the room was "top class" with a large spa-pool in the bed room.
i have visited many places and can say that the Nautilusis the best, better than all the rest

Room Tip: The rooms on the third floor gave us a view which was just fantastic.

A very tasteful unit which was well laid out and had lovely furnishings. Had a big circular spa bath and also a very comfortable lounge setting. Great value for money and spotlessly clean. The onsite restaurant had a very good evening meal and breakfast deal which we enjoyed. The waitress though very busy was welcoming and very service orientated.

Room Tip: Our second floor unit although on the side still had nice sea views but no sun.

This was a super motel/hotel thingy. the room was spotless. the bathroom was enormus with a huge Jacuzzi, large enough to fit an entire family in one go. Or in case you are a Mormon, with all your wives. The room was fully equipped, so buy you din dins in the local super market and cook here, there is a terrif chip shop 'round the corner, Chinese, I think. Is this Chinky Nosh?. The down side of the accomm is it is right on the foot path/main road to the port, so have ear plugs...or keep busy all night doing something else. The bus to Hong Kong (or some place) pulled in beside our bedroom, thus I made sure I had clean vest and underpants on me, at all times. Do not stand in the window yawning and scratching yourself in the morning (or indeed anytime). Napier is a strange town. I think the locals are trying to pull down anything older than your mother. Like Slough, only flatter, near the sea, and warmer. The natives are friendly.

Room Tip: you can't use the swimming pool or the fitness center....cus they haven't got one. I ticked...

What a great choice on the street we made. The room was excellent and the best rest that weary Aucklanders like us needed. Handy to town, an easy walk or 2 min in car, opposite the ocean and a lovely view.

Room Tip: The road noise is Nothing at night with the doors closed and barely noticable to us Aucklanders duri...

We had deluxe room with huge round spa bath and sea view. If you Iike Napier, it's a good place to stay. So many places to choose from nearby though. We booked in advance through Booking .com but would got much cheaper if we had just turned up as lots of availability here and elsewhere.

Room Tip: Choose one on higher level for privacy from road.

We are pleased we booked The Nautilus in Napier. You need a minimum of 2 nights (possibly more) to get a taste for Napier. The Nautilus is well situated across the road from the beach. However it is not a swimming beach because of huge rips, but wonderful walking area and around 10 mins(walk) from the centre of Napier. We had a ground floor room which was large and there was also table and chairs to sit outside and watch the world go past!

Room Tip: the restaurant is worth booking.
