Last night my lady friend and I ventured into the night for a late meal, she recommended Chefs as she had dined there a few weeks before and loved it. I'd already been many times in the past but not for some years so had grown unfamiliar. Glory be, it was still as good as I remember!
There was no one else in the restaurant and it looked like they were closing up but they warmly advised us to sit. The atmosphere was very nice, homely and comfortable. We sat and looked upon the menu which was filled with a whole manner of delicious sounding things. I decided on the Lamb Kashmiri (extra hot!) while the lady had Lamb Madras. We also had a side of Garlic Naan and two Colas.
We hadn't had to wait very long before the meals came. They were presented simply, with a generous portion of rice for each. They both looked incredible! There were so many colours and it looked/smelled so fresh, which was a nice change to the usually monotone curries you get from other Indian restaurants. The Garlic Naan was also very generous, already cut into perfectly sized slices.
I won't go too far into the taste of our meals because I'll probably be here all day trying to explain the complexity of the full rich flavours. Suffice it to say, they both were probably the best curries ever to pass our tongues. The Naan also did everything a good Naan should.
I will tell you all without any hesitation: do visit Chefs if you're ever in Hamilton and have a hankering for a curry. The prices are so low for the sublime taste and experience you'll have, it almost feels like stealing! The lady and I will definitely return. Thank you Chefs.
