A good review in the newspaper was spot on - Baduzzi has what it takes. Small plates so you can eat your way through multiple courses, supported by a good list of Italian wines from Sicily and Sardinia. My recommendations: sardines with pine nuts, golden sultanas and feta; organic lamb polpette (meatballs); beetroot taglitatelle with strips of paua and bacon lardons finished with a quail's egg. Watch out for the desserts - heavy calorie territory if you opt for the cannoli or chocolate. Staff are excellent, prices are good. No bookings, so you take your chances, but they will put you on a waiting list. It's a list worth being on. Lunch and dinner Mon-Sun from 1130am, down in Wynyard Quarter - walking distance from CBD.
