“Wholesome View from a historical site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Pleasant breeze coupled with complete view of Auckland in one go is something indescribable in few words of appreciation. Place is worth visiting at least once if you are in Auckland.

“This is Auckland's Oldest Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

This is a huge park. We drove through it and stopped at various points. It is a beautiful place and is very well maintained.
The view from the summit is extraordinary and truly worth it.

“Essential”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

you have to have a look at the view and see the landscape. The tree is no longer there. Look over the landscape to spot the other volcanoes. Drink in the extent of the waterways and watch the sun go down.

“Good free vantage point”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

I have been up to One Tree Hill many times. It is a great vantage point to see the Managere Harbour and the south western parts of the city from a high vantage point. The park is quite large with a working farm and livestock. It has a very large children's playground and a small observatory which is open to the public. An archery field is also located in the park. The area is also where a ancient Maori Pa was sited and the remains still are quite visible today. Two restaurants are also found in the park the Cornwall Park restaurant and the Sorrento restaurant. There are also a number of DIY BBQ areas. This is a excellent free area for you to spend time. Can be called Cornwall Park or One Tree Hill depending on which side of the park your one. Note: parking can get scares in weekends and public holidays.

“Ideal photo spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Beautiful views and clever design to ensure some unusual photographs too for the more artistic photographer! Fairly windy and chilly so make sure you wrap up in winter.
