“Vibrant Viaduct!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

Heard lots about the Auckland Viaduct. Expected to be over-inflated with middle-class Jaffa's, but I was pleasantly surprised about the great atmosphere, selection of classy restaurants and Cafe's that caters to all needs. Particularly enjoyed the Gelato and Chai Latte's though can't remember the name of the business. Very picturesque and pleasant. Cheers Auckland.

“A must see for Auckland.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

The Viaduct Harbour is a definite must see when staying in Auckland as it provides the New Zealand boating/yachting atmosphere and is a hub for restaurants, cafes, bars and travellers and locals to congregate. We thoroughly enjoyed staying and walking around this area and felt it was a vibrant part of the city with a great atmosphere. We stayed at Sofitel in the Viaduct and found this to be a great base from which to explore Auckland and central to everything. We were able to walk to the ferry terminal from our hotel along the harbour walkway through this area and enjoyed our time here.

“America's cup”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

The viaduct has a relica of one of the America's cup yachts...high on a pedestal. It's a busy place with parking at a premium. Loads of expensive restaurants, great for walking and people watching. Take a boat trip and enjoy a different vie of Auckland from the water. Walk from there over to the fish market for fresh fish and more restaurants. Or, to the ferry building and terminal where you can take a trip out to one of the interesting islands.
