Great stretch of Aucklland dont be shy to walk up the side streets and a explore deeper. Great night life, expensive but no more than other cities.

“plenty of shops”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

This is the main street of Auckland and whatever you are looking for you can find here and there are many streets leading off here to see the greater part of Auckland.

“Big Little City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

This city is getting better and better with age. It is easy to navigate around and taking time to seek out interesting corners, makes for a great day. It is tiny by comparison to European cities, but is developing all the time to look like them, with it's eateries and shopping precincts. It is wonderful to see the city designers restoring the original buildings, and the paintwork and features on them really are standing out. Everything is in easy walking distance and you can traverse the city taking in the Museum and parks around the CBD. This city could almost be divided into 'Quarters' as in Paris. Definitely worth getting accommodation and having two nights here!

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

Queen Street doesn't seem to have anything particularly unique of attractive about it. Parking is problamatic and you could get pretty much the same shopping experience with free parking at any large mall.

“Normal city main street”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

I think the best thing about Queen St is all the streets going off it. Some hidden gems and victorian arcades. Lots of good restaurants either side of Queen Street.
