“A good night's sleep in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Clean and comfortable. I like that the windows can be opened and the airconditioning adjusted to suit - there's nothing worse than a stuffy hotel room. It was very quiet and we were unaware of the other guests - just how we like it. Great location, easy walk to shops, attractions, restaurants and transport.

We didn't eat in the restaurant, but my dh was at a conference catered by the hotel and he said the food was lovely.

Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the car park across the road, don't know if that made a difference, but it w...

Easy check in and out. The normal rooms come in two sizes, one has two double beds, the other has one double bed.

The restaurant is weird, charging for meat by the gram (ie 15cents a gram) but then telling you on the menu you will be getting 200grams. Just tell me the bloody price! Restaurant staff also slightly slow.

Overnight stay on business in this CBD Hotel. The building is not new but the refurbishments have kept the Hotel and the rooms in good condition without being too flash. Effortless check-in and check-out with friendly front desk staff. My room on 13th floor had two queen beds. Bathroom was small but adequate and clearly been refurbished in the last few years. TV was a little small and low definition but adequate - should be next on the refurbishment list. Had breakfast in the restaurant - very good selection, well presented and tasty. All in all a good choice for the more budget minded business traveller.

For the money the room was okay but smaller than anticipated. There wasn't anywhere to put your case and the shower cubicle would be a struggle for a tall person. But the room was clean and the linen clean so would suit people looking for a short stay and cheap option

We stayed at the Rydges for a long weekend in April, 2014. The hotel itself was nice. The room that we got looked out at the tower, which was pretty cool. The room was clean and the staff was incredibly nice. We only ate breakfast there once, which was very expensive.

The location was ok. It is very close to the tower and the casino if that is what you are looking for. Otherwise, it's a little bit of a walk to the harbor. There is also a highrise right across the street that is a residence. There were some messy balconies and you could actually hear the music from those if you opened the window. But overall not a big deal.
