“Auckland 3/12-3/14 and 3/15”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Great place to stay. We spent 2 nights then departed for Bay of Islands and the hotel held our luggage with no charge until we returned on 3/15 and spent the last night prior to out cruise.
The hotel was centrally located and easy access to almost everything we wanted to see.
Special consideration to Javard who helped us accomplished everthing we wanted to do. Lucky was also very helpful.
The suites have washer/dryer and views of the harbor which is a plus.

Room Tip: rooms 05 and 15 face the harbor for a great view with a balcony to enjoy you wine at night.

We were just one block from the waterfront with a balcony that had a view of the harbor. The suite was excellent. there were an interconnected living and dining room with an exit to the balcony, a kitchen, a separate laundry room, bath and bedroom. We were walking distance to many restaurants on the waterfront and within two blocks of the main bus stops. I would definitely stay here and have already recommended this to our friends.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room with a harbor view.

Great location - walking distance to Sky City, shopping, ferries and restaurants (particularly Viaduct Basin, great vibe and good food). Our suite was very large, well furnished and equipped, with spacious balcony. Very little noise from below, which on a weekend night was great.
Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Spent two nights here before our flight back to the U.K. - very comfortable and would recommend.

This hotel is very well located.
How-ever, should you require any form of service - this is not the hotel for you!
Room not cleaned properly, complaints ignored, and no one took responsibility for any of this.

Room Tip: Don't stay there

We had a corner two bedroom room with the most amazing views of Auckland Harbour. Location was within walking distant to all the harbour attractions and restaurants. Service was excellent. Parking was included.

Room Tip: Ask for corner room.

Positives: great downtown location, room was quiet (we never heard hall or adjoining room noise), breakfast at hotel cafe was delicious, wireless access is free in cafe/lobby.

Cons: It was REALLY overpriced for what we got. The room had outdated furniture. The couch was so broken down, it was too uncomfortable to sit upon. The tiles in the bathroom floor were cracked and stained. I spilled water on the carpet and when I blotted it up with a towel, the towel turned black (gross!). Using the washing machine or dryer tripped the circuit breaker every time. Front desk staff repeatedly provided incorrect information or didn't know the answer to a question. While we never experienced rude staff, they were generally not very friendly or welcoming (very different than what we experienced everywhere else in NZ). Wireless access was only available in lobby or cafe, not in the room.

I don't recommend this hotel if you're planning to stay in Auckland.

Room Tip: If you're going to stay here, ask for a room on a high floor, facing the water. The views from...

This is an average hotel,

The upside: Great location and views, great pool and spa

The downside: Rude and useless staff, not a fully equipped kitchen and a tiny fridge for the size of the apartment

When we booked we were told that there would be free wifi in the room and a newspaper delivered daily but that was not the case, their excuse was that when we booked the hotel it was owned by another hotel company. Not good enough. You would think that the least they could do is honour the conditions that we booked the hotel under.

I will look elsewhere next time I return to Auckland.
