We love the Langham Hotel - the hospitality is just wonderful. We thought we would try the buffet dinner at "Eight" since it had such great reviews. Unfortunately the price tag of $90 per head was too expensive for us. So we tried the "A la Carte" menu, and both ordered the Wiener Schnitzel. This dish was $36.00. The schnitzel was huge.... certainly plenty fo it. But it was dsiappointing for such a establishment. It was cooked unevenly (singed on the edges), and it was tough. Who-ever had prepared it did not cut the edges to stop it curling, which might have given it a more even colour. It came with a few oven chips, and a little side salad. For $36 we expected really nice golden schnitzel, with a good side salad to compliment it. Our experience meant we would not return - we felt that it was just not value for money, and it kinda put a sad note on our lovely stay at the Langham. Would not recommend.
