“Butterflies Galore”

A family friendly attraction. Staff really interactive & informative. Lots more than just butterflies - great to see the crocodile in action. Well worth a visit. Cafe food was delicious & coffee piping hot.

“Butterflies -- and lots more!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

This is a great attraction for kids of all ages, and adults too! We started off with the various rabbits, guinea pigs and goats, then progressed to the butterfly house which was fabulous -- so many varieties flitting about and providing great photograph opportunities. The croc enclosure is also interesting but not too keen on creepy-crawly bit!!
The train ride is OK, but could be developed more than just a double circuit of the site. There are also excellent eating facilities if these are required during your visit, and overall the site is a great experience.

“Could be better but handy for kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Hmmm, the food was okay but the train ride? Shortest ever with not much too see. This is a short walk from the domestic airport but with my 4 year old who stopped every minute, it seemed to take hours. The playground is ok, she was much more interested in the trinkets in the shop. The butterfly sanctuary is wonderful, the croc area, ok, and the petting area for rabbits cute. Some of the staff are slightly odd and some not that friendly, especially in the shop. The guy who served ice cream tried to talk me out of purchasing more. I think he thought I had no money or something??
