Unlike Spain, tapas in Australia are very usually large servings. Like Amphoras three dishes I chose today. We began with Sardines - a little too salty and vinegary for me; 5 large meatballs - a little tasteless. Then a fabulous serve of mushrooms and spinach, cooked with cream, white wine, parmesan and shallots, served with perfect toast. Certainly not needing any more food, my friend and i were further tempted and shared the tapas dessert plate. The bottle of Margaret River Sav Blanc complimented it all wonderfully. And to top it off, the waitress was delightful.
