Food good but not to die for. Service a little slow, limited wine list and not very intimate. Booking service only offered very early or late times despite restaurant not full.

“Excellent service, fantastic food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Loved the food - everything was delicious but also a little bit different & interesting. The service was excellent.
We got a booking from phoning at 6pm on a Saturday night for a 6:30pm start which was a very pleasant surprise!
It's a short drive/cab ride from the city centre.
My husband can't stop talking about the doughnuts with vanilla custard, we will have to go back!

“Great food & service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012 via mobile

Visited mid week with some overseas friends. Menu was limited but was very good. My friends had the beef salad which looked great and they said tasted great as well. I had the land shank pasta..... To die for.

Service was good and the girls were able to explain the menu.

Well be back for the degustation menu.

“Unique flavours that left me speechless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

The first impression when the entres -Carrot artichoke salad and the Crab tagliatelle - first make its appearance, i was not impress.

Delved into my first taste of the salad.... Hmmm... not sure. Put more on the fork and I can finally find the flavours flowing through. The artichoke, carrots, dates and the exquisite white wine balsamic vinegar dressing is a beautiful blend of flavours that hit the G (good) spot on my palate.
Crab Tagliatelle was a really simple dish but the fresh flavours of tomato, crab meat and fresh pasta won me over quickly. Superb!

Mains: Duck on a celeriac mash / Steak (special style) Sides: (Asparagus with risotto, Roast Potato)

As you can see, we were hungry. two hungry man.

The duck was superb! They have mastered the perfect tenderness of the duck with a gentle light crisp of the skin). Celeriac Mash that is as light as floss candy (how do they do that!)

Steak was cook to perfection( Medium Rare) nice smokey flavour

“Not bad Suburban Italian”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

We pick this out for dinner for four of us to catch up after a about a year two of us from east and two locals, it was ok however the entree that I had was not as good as it should have been, the clams were over cooked and to tough, the other entries appeared ok and no one complained. The main course which was the fish of the day, baked in paper with herbs etc was very well cooked and much better than the starter. The service was very hot and cold, one minute they were all over us and the next you couldn't get attention.
