Four of us dined at Balthazar on Thursday evening and with only one Perth local in our group the rest of us were blown away by the quality of produce and the respectful ingenuity of chef Scott Branigan. Toffeed crabapples filled with blue cheese, lamb spareribs where the meat fell off the bone, oysters in Pedro Hermanez. The highlight for me had to be the Jamon ham, with amazing crackle and black pudding. Dessert was chocolate fondants all around along with chocolate dipped Jelly tips. This place has it all brilliant wait staff, buckets of ambiance and a head chef who loves what he does and boy does it show !!!!!
