“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

It was just ok, Expensive for lunch and for the Perth climate the menu was disappointing. In 40 degree heat I would rather have a choice of salads than toasted sandwiches!

“Bit self satisfied”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Never sets you off well when you're left standing just that bit too long to be seated when wait staff are passing back and forth ignoring you. Apart from that the food was good and the service good. Really am finding this new breed of city restaurant is so pleased with itself that the customer takes second place to the smugness of location. Found the trustee the same. Not urge perth has the population of city folk to really support this style obviously we're hoping we do!

“Excellent Steak Tartare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Went here with a few colleagues for lunch and we all had lovely meals. The decor is really plush and everyone really enjoyed the fabulous service (yes it did take a little while but it isnt McDonalds!) and excellent food. I had never tried steak tartare before but found it lovely.

“Great food but slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

The surroundings are beautiful. The food is excellent with generous serves. Wines by the glass could be improved variety wise, one Chardonnay from the Perth Hills doesn't cut it for a restaurant like this. Slow service, had to get the waiter's attention a few times to ask for water and this was at a time when only a few tables were occupied. Definitely need to lift their game service wise.

“Slow to serve and average food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Been there once when it first open and was under-whelmed but thought would give it another go. Went on a weekday evening. Food took a long time to arrive which is not really ideal for a weekday. When it did, the lamb was overcooked and the duck was dry. The cheese (Roquefort) tasted gritty - I get the feeling it had been taken out the previous night, not sold so put back in the fridge and then taken out again. Tables are very small. Overall restaurant very noisy. On the plus, the service was very attentive.
