“2ND BEST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Chins is the 2nd best chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at.
It is extremely relaxed (thongs, shorts, t-shirt)
It is very busy with tables "turning over" every hour.
The good gauge is the amount of asian customers that eat here.
Service was average, prices extremely resonable, for what you receive.
The food served was "MAGNIFICENT"
The flavour, contrast, texture of all our dishes was brilliant.
Do youself a favour, eat at Chins, even if it is my no.2.

(The No.1 is of course "Flower Drum Melbourne")

“Good Food at a reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

This is a local Chinese Restaurant, personally i have only had take away from here, really i can't remember how many times but i must say i have never been disappointed with the Service, food or the price all three i rate at Very good Plus.
i am a Duck lover and their duck is to die for, the plum sauce i have is presented separately in a container so you can measure out as you like.
thank you

“Great as always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Just shared another great meal with family. Nothing is ever too hard for the staff, always happy to help. Food is great and always fresh. Meals come out quickly and well pried given the quality.

“Nice food but "pushy" service.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

We have used this restaurant a number of times. It is very convenient, and the food is generally good. We do find that the staff are continually checking for your order starting from within about two minutes of sitting down. When we last visited we ordered an entree and main meal. I notice a staff member checking us out two or three times while we were eating our entree. When we were about half way through our entree our main meal arrived. I sent it back. About two minutes later it arrived again. I sent it back again. Finally when we had finished our entrees the main meal was immediately brought out. I spoke to the head waiter about the food arriving too quickly and was told that we should have said that we wanted the meal spaced. I pointed out that we ordered an entree and then mains specifically and that this generally means you have the entree first, and then your main follows.

The impression that we get when we eat there is that they want us to order immediately, eat as quickly as we can and then leave so that they can seat others for a meal. A bit like eating in a food hall!
