“DISAPPOINTED and WILL NOT RETURN”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Yesterday my partner and I went to this hotel thinking of enjoying some good time away from home. That was the worst decision I have aever made! We got into the room, what was supose to be a "Deluxe King Spa Hotel" room - and it was an old fashion, smelly, with very poor facilities room, with a fridge but empty without even a bottle of water, one single and small shampoo and conditioner to be shared between two people. While I was checking the room, my partner tried to connect his computer to the TV and discovered the input was BLOCKED so if you want to watch something you are required to pay for it - pay per view movies. So you are not allowed to connect your own computer device to use the tv screen as a monitor! And they dont provide a DVD player also. Which would not be a problem besides the fact that my partner called reception to ask what the goal with the tv was and was told by a completely inexperienced person who was working at the reception at the time that none of the TVs in the hotel support HDMI (even tho there were 3 diferente HDMI inputs in the TV!!!) and was not offered any solution for the fact that my partner needed his computer working for business purpose.
After 15 minutes my partner decided to call reception again and asked for the Duty Manager, who answered the phone by saying "HELLO" , giving the impression she didnt want to talk to anyone. After explaining the problem to her she only asked for the room number saying she was gonna give us a call back, but NEVER DID.
At this point I was not believing in such poor costumer service we were receiving. Those people should never being work in hotel or with costumer service. After all I decided to have a bath, when for my surprise (at this point not a surprise anymore) there were pubic hairs in the bath. Disgusting! I cant believe I even had to pay for this piece of crap place.
I just had the worse experience ever with this hotel, and I wont recommend it to anyone!

We stayed in this hotel as it was good value (expensive room rates in Perth) and appeared close to the free Blue CAT line and in walking distance to many good restaurants. When we arrived, the hotel did look a bit tired and on the way to our room, a few of them were being refurbished. Our room was a King Size with Spa bath and it was odd at first seeing the bath right in the room! However, the toilet was in a small room beside the bath. The room was equipped with a safe and was tucked away to the rear of the hotel so it was very quiet! The spa bath was great a soothing the body after a day's out exploring perth. The bed was enormous and very comfortable and all in all, it was a very stay. You were in walking distance of many restaurants on William St and the Blue Cat was a few blocks away so that you can access most parts of Perth within 10mins walk. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: 319 was tucked away to the back. No noise at all!

Living four and half hours from the state capital means a welcoming city base is often necessary. When overnighting in preparation for a long plane trip, or visiting family and friends in the city, a quiet retreat between adventures is what I'm looking for. Perth is a city where current hotel prices can be astronomical and you cna pay more than you would in central London or Paris! Here in Northbridge, however, just out of the central CBD, but within walking distance of heaps of restaurants, if you allow for a twenty minute stroll, or time your taxi ride well, you are at a very convenient spot in a leafy treelined suburb. If you are too tired to venture far, over the road is a popular Vietnamese restaurant with very efficient service and order by numbers... next door is a well patronised breakfast or brunch cafe called Tarts, crowded with knick knacks, offering the usual newspapers, magazines and tasty snacks. ( I do not usually have the hotel breakfast, although it is available, simply because I enjoy the cafe outdoors atmosphere.)
The hotel itself is very well situated. The rooms are pleasant with windows you can open and comfortably adequate beds. The decor is quite neutral and the rooms offer all the usual services. There is a carpark below (a little crammed in some spots, but free for guests). The peaceful suburb means your sleep will not be interrupted by surging traffic or rowdy crowds. Sometimes the reception staff (only one on duty) sometimes seem to be busy in a back room on computers- are they students studying as well?- but if you need them for a duplicate key card, calling a taxi,or luggage storage, they are helpful. I love arriving at this hotel, knowing for sure that I will have a very satisfactory stay, and not much will have changed. It is reliable, familiar and calm. It is the hotel I always go back to.

Room Tip: There are only three floors, plus the marvellously large penthouse on top, so most rooms are good bu...

King Bed room with real KB (not singles joined), and bed was comfortable. Large Room is made bigger by having the bathroom included. Whilst I enjoyed the extra space in the spa bath - shower, it was a pity that it used a water saver head. The restaurant was great with the Ribs "falling off the bone". Service was a bit slow so take the newspaper with you. Other faults were leaking A/C, no mini bar, no foxtel and just single chairs to watch TV. At $170 it was probably Perth style "value for money".

Room Tip: High floor reduces noise.

We stayed for just one night over the Easter long weekend.
We found the Hotel Northbridge to be quiet and clean the rooms were decent size and comfortable.
The check in staff were efficient and friendly and we had a great meal at the restaurant.
The only issue I had was the shower pressure it was sufficient for one night but not if you wish to wash long hair after a night out.
Will return again as the location is great for any city visit

Last visit to Perth I was disappointed with the way the CBD just died at night, so I went looking for something in Northbridge this time. The options were limited but it didn't matter because Hotel Northbridgebwas excellent. Walking distance to James and William Streets, which were even buzzing on Good Friday while the rest of the city slept. The hotel was also only a short walk to my meeting venues in the west end of the CBD, so it was a great combination for work and pleasure.
I was a little wary of the idea of a "studio bathroom", but this was an excellent room, as you could sit in the spa and watch TV, though of course you can't hear it with the spa running. The toilet was in its own room, so that potential awkwardness was avoided. The bathroom would only be a problem if sharing with a friend.
In all, an excellent hotel with great services. I'll be back.
