“love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Low key, family friendly, dog walking, kids biking, ducks quacking kind of park! Gorgeous trees are beloved by all in the neighborhood. Water fountains and play equipment all popular and good quality.

“Shady and cool”

A lovely park close to Northbridge - great for a stroll or picnic. Has kids play area and in summer play fountains which are VERY popular.

“A must go in Perth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

You can really connect to nature here. It is especially lovely in Autumn or Spring when the weather is not so harsh. It is such a great place to relax and watch the world go by. The park is huge!
Many people have weddings here and weekly picnics. During Christmas time the park is full of children and people celebrating.
Nearby is a deli but is not far from a bakery and other restaurants. Best to bring your own food though and truly enjoy!

“Favourite family picnic spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Hyde Park is a western suburbs oasis. Bounded by Mt Lawley, North Perth and Highgate, only 5 minutes from the Perth CBD, Hyde Park is a low key, family friendly park with great walking/jogging paths around tranquil lakes, water features and water fowl.

The fountain on Vincent Street is particularly popular with young children, who can walk around in it while getting sprayed.

Once a Perth institution, it is good to see that the annual Hyde Park Festival has returned. It is well worth a visit to see the park come alive with bands, arts & crafts stalls and community organisations.

Always a pleasant option, and those looking for a picnic option in summer will be grateful for the many magnificent old shady trees and lush lawns.

“Free and Close to the CBD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

The water smells weird but it is great for a picnic at the park for Australia Day or even going on a weekend date.

The location is about 5-10 minutes from the city centre so there is a good variety of food (mainly Asian) for those who want to sit in the park and relax.

Children can play on the playground and recently the government/council has added a water playground.
