I loved this hotel. Great location in downtown Perth, with friendly service. Has a old world charm. The lift is old style with doors you have to manually open and close. The hotel and room walls are covered in some lovely wallpaper. The room has a flat screen TV, piped music (which I thought was refreshing), though the room is a little small. Breakfast wasn't as impressive as suggested by previous reviews, but the fact that it was included in the room price is good value. Walking distance to the train station and shopping. Parking is free if you park at some designated public parking lots which is about 5-10 minutes walk. Alternativley paid parking is just opposite the hotel. Internet is rather reasonable at AUD5 per hour.

An excellent, friendly hotel. Great location for walking around Perth CBD. Fantastic choice for breakfast and wonderful smorgasbord for evening meals. Would certainly stay here again if in Perth.

Hi! We stayed here as locals for my birthday night (no drinking and driving, right!). What a beautiful surprise it turned out to be! The decor goes from fascinating to shocking, but that doesn't do the charm any harm. The elevator was broken that night, so we had to take the stairs, and after a dinner at the famous restaurant you really just want to roll yourself into your bed :-) The bathroom is huge with a great shower, the bed is just right (how very Goldilocks!) and the little balcony we had made for excellent people watching (there is a late night gym without curtains just across the road).

Loved this little hotel...the Swedish style breakfast was amazing. We were in a corner room which actually was very large and the price was right. It may be a little quirky but we have very fond memories of Miss Maud's.
