We did love our stay at Miss Maud's. The hotel seems a little bit old fashioned, but that's its own strength. I loved so much the wooden lift, with the non-automatic doors...
The room was big enough, sheets were not changed on a daily basis (this could be an improvement...), the door of the bathroom is a wooden sliding door that doesn't really grant you 100% privacy so you should be quite intimate with your room mate...
Breakfast is served at the restaurant round the corner (still Miss Maud's) and the choice is really huge and all of great quality.
I reccomend this hotel if you want something different than the global hotel chains that are the very same in every country of the world.

An excellent , small Hotel , centrally located yet extremely quiet . The Staff are very friendly and professional , and also well informed as to where and what is "on" . Clean , well appointed rooms in an altogether quaint , delightful setting .
Oh! and the breakfasts are to die for !

Miss Maud is a central hotel located in a safe and nice area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable but the view of mine wasn't very nice (a wall). They provide free wireless in each room and if you need to print any document (i.e. your boarding card..) you can do it by yourself at a reasonable price (more or less 2AU$ for the pc connection and 30p for each printed page). Breakfast is rich and excellent, in a very nice atmosphere. They also provide a early breakfast box for free if you need it.

Miss Mauds was recommended to us by friends and family and I we were very happy with our choice. We stayed for 3 nights in a Superior room which was small but immaculate, the bathroom modern and clean. The showers were nice and hot and the beds comfortable and we expereiced not outside noise from adjoining rooms.

The location was perfect for sightseeing, central to shopping and the river.

The Buffet Breakfast included in the room cost was one of the best we had experienced. We also booked in for the evening buffet with extended family memebers and enjoyed a wonderful night of great food for a reasonable cost.

The staff were friendly and I would recommend this as a first choice for a stay in Perth.
