Owner description: The main attraction is the museum's extensive collection of Aboriginal artifacts, but yes, there's a dinosaur gallery for the kids, too.

If you’ve got any interest in shipwrecks (and who hasn’t), check out the Western Australian Museum here. There’s a great exhibition devoted to the Batavia (mutiny/shipwreck/murder/revenge – all on one ship), and a new room detailing the HMS Sydney, its final battle and the recent discovery of the wreck.

“really brings history to life”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2006

I came to this museum while killling a bit of time in Perth and found it very intersting. I'd just watched rabbit proof fence and it was quite moving to see how the communities had suffered with the whole forced removal of kids from thier families. I thought it was a very well put together museum.
