“Gorgeous City Park with Stunning Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Kings Park is worth a several hour visit. The views of Perth are fantastic, and the botanic gardens are nice for a stroll. The War Memorial, like others in Australia, is very moving. Don't miss the fantastic gift shop (very lovely, quality merchandise) and small Aboriginal Art gallery.

“A great place to visit and walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Its like Central Park for Perth, although higher. A 1000 acres, close to Perth CBD, great views of the Swan River. We feel like you are a million miles away, but are actually close to the city. The tree walk, water features, plants and trees are well worth the walking.

“OUTSTANDING VIEWS OF THE CITY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

Every visit to the city of Perth must include a visit to Kings Park, during the day and during the night. It is important to take along the best camera you have as the views are stunning.

I have travelled a good deal around the World and regard Perth as the most beautiful city I have ever seen - and when you are at the top of Kings Park you realise why it is so beautiful.

There is a very good restaurant and shop [plus excellent toilets!!!]. We took a picnic as many others did. Parking is fairly easy.
There are a variety of free tours around the Park and Gardens. We went on a tour of the Botanic Gardens following one of the volunteer wardens and it was very good, lasting about 90 minutes. We learnt so much about the plants as well as the history of the Gardens and Parks.
