I thank the guest for their review. I am unsure of what room they stayed in, but, I would very much like to speak to this guest to discuss their stay in order for us to gain back some credibility in their eyes but more importantly to ensure that these concerns are addressed and any issues do not re occur. We always appreciate feedback and again I thank the reviewer for posting their comments.

Lobby has free wifi. 24 hour gym was large, and not too many people crammed in there. Machines were new and in good working condition. Bed was comfy. No wifi outside out of lobby. $24 broadband internet (cheapest i have seen in australia).

Dear Evan B
Thank you for taking your time to post your review. We are in the process of finalising our hotel Wi-Fi project which will allow both wired and Wi-Fi internet across the entire hotel. As a GHA member– our loyalty programme, internet is in fact complimentary as is sign up to the programme which has proved to be extremely popular.

Pros:

Centrally located in the CBD (about five-ten minutes walk from the Hay St mall)
Beautiful rooms, including luxe toiletries (bath salts, shower cap and loofah)
Very clean
Decent gym

Cons:

Free wi-fi only available in the foyer (and you have to get an inconvenient printed out code that lasts for one hour at a time)

Rather expensive rates (but this seems to be par for the course in Perth). I paid $270/night for their basic room on Wotif.com which was decent value. The rack rate is almost twice that.

Thank you for your review from which I am pleased to note you found the hotel classy and very clean. We are currently in the process of finalising the Wi-Fi project which is currently available in the public areas of the hotel and in our Pacific Club Lounge which is available only to our Pacific Club room guests. We do have a number of packages available on our hotel website which is where our cheapest rates will be found and I am glad that you were able to take advantage of one of the discounted rates. Please do feel free to contact the hotel direct or visit the hotels Pan Pacific website for the specials we have on offer.

The hotel is clean and located in a nice area with a few close by restaurants. The room is a little out dated style wise and due to poor design the shower area and bathroom have rust and wear showing in a few spots but that in no way should make you go somewhere else. Large rooms and comfortable beds quickly make you forget about the rust. After all your not buying it your just staying here. And 24 hour room service will make up for everything.

We stayed here for one night at the last minute after our flight out of Perth was cancelled and we couldn't get out till the next day.
The reception staff were great, very professional and helpful. Also quite sympathetic to our situation which was nice.
We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious, had a great bed, a beautiful bathroom and a fantastic view. The free lobby internet was very fast, and the hotel actually has Foxtel - unlike a lot of the places we stayed at in WA which professed to have Foxtel, only to have the discovery channel and sky news only....
We enjoyed our brief stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good quality accommodation in the Perth CBD. On the night we stayed it was great value too. Thanks!.

Having booked online through wotif, I got an excellent deal (around A$160) to begin with. The hotel is centrally located in East Perth, close to the river and a lovely park.
The CBD is within walking distance and William St (Chinatown if you will) is not far either (15 min).
When looking at 5*s in Perth, one has not many options apart from this hotel, the Duxton (which I had a look at by the way and was really beautiful), the Hilton and the Novotel which is opposite this property.
The room we were given was quite spacious with two super comfy double beds. The bathroom was okay, clean but showing some the first signs of aging.
The gym is quite well equipped and the restaurant at dinner was busy (which is a good sign - though we didn't dine there).
The staff was really accommodating and helpful. Would recommend it more to business travellers probably than couples.

Dear Lukmi
Thank you for your “Great Business Orientated” review. Our hotel is a short walk from the city centre and there is a free bus service to and from the city from just outside the hotel for those not wishing to walk or take a taxi. I am also glad to note you found our team helpful and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

We recently stayed in a Pacific Club King suite for 5 nights, and then returned to the hotel for a further night after a 2 day trip to Kalbarri. Overall, the experience was very comfortable and positive.

On previous trips to Perth we have stayed at the Hyatt on their Club floors and in comparison the club facilities at the Pan Pacific - both guest rooms and club rooms - are far superior and offer much better value. The staff in the Club lounge were very welcoming and the breakfasts, afternoon tea and evening drinks and canapes are all of a high standard.

The Pacific Club King suites were perfect for our stay of 5 days, with plenty of room, more storage than we required, extremely comfortable beds, very large bathroom/walk-in robe and a nice view of the Swan River. We had specifically requested a room with a good view, and this request was granted on check in.

We were able to leave most of our luggage with the concierge desk during our 2 day trip to Kalbarri, which was very conveniant. The hotel's location is not really close to restaurants and places to eat, but these are easily accesible by a shorft cab ride.

Overall, we would highly recommend the club floors of this hotel for a city stay in Perth.

Room Tip: Recommend the club floors - rooms on the western side have better river views than those on the east...
