“Too expensive for the average service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

The hotel Well situated providing easy access to Taxis and buses. The personnel was very polite and very helpful. A special thanks to Mehdi who have been our life saver in various situations. The was well cleaned with housekeeping service.

However, there were no window in the room and at times you feel stuffy. No gown and slippers specially where this hotel is designed to cater for people coming on business trips. Only the 9th floor which is a privileged floor are given gown and slippers.

The price is too high for only a standard room without breakfast. An addition of AUD 25 or AUD 35 had to be paid for breakfast which is too much. Internet was very bad, I was unable to do a skype call using the hotel's internet package.

There were no heater in the room and upon request I was given a small portable one. The only heater available was on the reception. I wonder how i would have managed if the temperature would have been 2 degrees!

The rate charged for a room in this hotel is too high for the standard service.

The room was a fairly standard hotel room, it was not fancy and we would have been disappointed if we had paid full price.
There was a nice gym and spa area up stairs with a great view of the Swan River.
The bar down stairs had a good atmosphere to watch sport and had live music on the Friday afternoon.
We ate dinner in the restaurant Sen5es.This was overpriced & the food was below average. We sent parts of the meal back & did not finish what we did eat.
Over all the service staff throughout the hotel were friendly and did their best.
Although check-in was slow due to a new starter on the Accor Advantage Plus priority desk, it would have been good if there was someone available to assist her.

I stay here regularly now, the hotel is consistently clean, rooms are functional with good lighting and the service is excellent.
Only qualm is the bath/showers - renovated bathrooms would be the icing on the cake at this great hotel.

Having just spent 2 nights in Perth at the Novotel Perth Langley it has been the worse 2 night I have stayed in a hotel in a very longtime.

Having to travel frequently to Perth on business I will be avoiding staying at this hotel as there are far more options to consider.

Having flown into Perth late at night I arrived at the hotel after midnight, I was given a 1st floor room at the front corner of the hotel that faced directly onto the intersection between Adelaide Terrace and Hill Street. The windows are poorly insulated and by 6:00am in the morning all I could hear was traffic noise as buses and cars took off from the traffic lights. Needless to say I got less than 5 hours quality sleep before I had to make my morning meetings.

This was not made anymore pleasant by the fact that the bed was very uncomfortable with little support.

Hoping to get a better nights sleep on the second night, I was sadly disappointed as not only did I have to contend with the ongoing traffic noise, but through the connecting door to the next room, all I could hear through-out the whole night and early morning where their noise.

The staff were efficient and friendly but that did not make up for the total lack of sleep I got during my stay and the poor sound proofing in the room.

Spending more $500 for 2 nights was very poor value.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms that face Adelaide Terrace, poor sound proofing on windows allows all traffic n...

"Unsatisfactory Stay"

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at Novotel Perth Langley. I am sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you did not have a restful experience. Please allow me to express my sincere apology.

I am sorry that the room you occupied did not have a comfortable bed, we will most certainly investigate the quality of the bed and replace or repair it as necessary. I can appreciate that combined with some noise from the room next door this would have made for an uncomfortable night. While the hotel team is available through the night I am sorry that an alternative room was not offered to you for the second night of your stay.

Once again please accept my apology for the disturbance and inconvenience this caused. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly to discuss your experience further.

Sincerely,
Bree Creaser

A very comfortable suite with great views of the Swan River. Would be perfect for skyshow.
Breakfast was good and the hotel is well located,
The hotel is a long walk from most entertainment ares but convenient to transport and close to river to enjoy walks.

We booked here due to price $149.00 on Wotif which included tickets to Van Gogh, Dali & Beyond, 2pm checkout and breakfast for 2. For us, the location was good, although we didn’t shop in the city and had a car. Parking was $25 in their underground facility which I thought was acceptable (I have paid up to $50 elsewhere). The parking was also convenient. Just drive in which is next to the hotel, take a ticket and then the lift to reception.
Check in was no hassle and quick.
We had a room on the 11th floor, right at the end of the corridor. It may have been that this room was a little larger than the usual, being the end room which was good. Our view was of the city. The room was clean and everything worked.
The bathroom was a little tired but the shower worked well, there were 2 soaps, body soap & a shampoo/conditioner & shower cap and everything was clean. The towels were fluffy and large. The bed was very comfy and firm – the way I like it but the pillows were a little lacking and flat.
Breakfast was really good! Everything you could want really. Made to order omelettes, bacon, mushrooms, potatoes, scrambled eggs, fruit, pastries, breads, cereals, juices etc. One reviewer remarked about the very large jars of Jam, Vegemite, Peanut Butter and the soup spoon to dig it out. I agree that this was really bizarre, messy and did not work well. I have never come across this before.
Unfortunately, the art show was closed due to an issue they had with power but we can use the tickets at another time. So, would I book the Novotel Langley again? Absolutely at this price with the complimentary breakfast and late checkout.
