Stayed at this hotel in the middle of June. We had travelled there as a family (my hubs, 8 year old, 5 yo and 1 yo). I had booked a Studio Executive room directly with the hotel via the website. I was initially worried as the hotel was not able to confirm with me if they would be able to secure a cot for my baby. I found it a bit strange as I had booked more than a month in advance. Surely if I stated that I needed a cot, they would be able to reserve one for me? (Their answer was that it was subject to availablility). Nevertheless, I went ahead with my reservation as it was within our budget, had rather good reviews and most importantly, it had a small kitchenette which would be useful should I need to cook some meals for the kids or the baby.

We checked into the hotel in the late afternoon and we received a less than welcome reception. The person serving us was rather curt with her replies, and hardly smiled. When I asked about the cot, she said it was not indicated in my request, and couldn't confirm if I could have one. Finally, she turned to her colleague (who was just as unfriendly, with hardly a smile) and asked if we could have a cot (I overheard her asking if it was chargeable). In the end, we were offered one without charge, which was good to hear. (But to be fair, we did meet two other staff members on our last night there who were very friendly and helpful.)

The room that we stayed in was quite large, with a king sized bed. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff brought the baby cot not too long after we had settled into the room. Amenities were good; the kitchenette had a stove, hob, and even a microwave oven, as well as plates, bowls ladels, detergent, towels, and they are were all fairly new. Bed was very comfortable, and the cot looked clean. My only gripe is the toilet. It's cold after taking a bath and stepping out of the shower room. My kids refused to take a bath after the first night. Housekeeping was good, fresh towels (and sufficient no.) were supplied every day.

The hotel is located in a rather good location. Within walking distance to the malls, the supermarket (Woolworths) and the CAT bus stops. There is a nice little café just about two doors away from the hotel which offered good breakfast for a decent price. Nice and quiet eatery, and with friendly staff too.

I would say this hotel is good for families with young children - the rate is pretty reasonable for an apartment with kitchenette facilities, and it is located near the supermarket and malls. Something could be done about the heating in the bathroom though.

Great location right on St George's Terrace in the heart of the business district and easy walking distance to the theatre, shopping malls and the river. Pretty good for public transport too as it sits between both train stations.

On arrival check in was swift, easy and dealt with in a friendly manner. The room itself was a bit of a shock as first simply as the decor is so stark! Lots of clean white offset with a bit of acid yellow - not particularly serene or restful! That said the room is a really good size and very well set up for the business traveller with a good sized desk with well located lighting and power points.

I requested a room with a bath and I got one however there was no bubble bath or even body lwash which was a shame. The room comes kitted out with a kitchenette though my room seemed to be missing half the crockery and glassware ( one water glass and two for champagne but nothing else) plates seemed missing and the positioning of the kettle and toaster were not convenient .

Overall a nice clean comfortable room and good for the price - I'd probably give this place another go though other places in the city have been a bit better this is a super location.

Dear BlaneyMundy,

Thank you for sharing with us feedback of your recent stay at Citadines St Georges Terrace Perth. We are pleased to read that you found our Guest Service Team friendly and you especially enjoyed the central location of our Apart’hotel; in particular the short walk to Perth’s shopping, restaurants and the beautiful Swan River.

It is disappointing to read however that not all aspects of your stay met your expectations. Our newly refurbished rooms have been designed to provide guests with a vibrant environment with all the modern conveniences one usually expects at home; and we are sorry to read that this was not your impression. Though it is too late for your current stay which we apologise for, please be sure to let our Guest Service Team know if you are missing any crockery or glassware, as we would be only too happy to supply them to ensure you enjoy your stay.

Next time you are visiting you may like to try our Double Bubbles accommodation package which also includes a pampering spa pack from MOR cosmetics. Thank you BlaneyMundy, from all the team at Citadines we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Warm regards,

Shannon R

The location of the hotel was good, the room was comfortable especially the bed, but overall the staff were quite unfriendly with hardly a smile for the 6 days we were there. One lady in particular was very unhelpful. Yes there is parking, but only 4 spaces and it's on a first come basis....no booking in. The restaurant next door was good. Overall , the atmosphere of the hotel from the staff made me decide not to return in the future.

Thank you for your recent feedback Carol H.

We were disappointed to learn that our Guest Service staff seemed unfriendly as well as unhelpful during your stay with us. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for this lapse in service. In light of this I shall be looking into and addressing this further with our Guest Service Manager and ensure that all our staff are reminded of their training and the service standard that is expected of them and being approachable, service focused and always courteous to all of our guests. Whilst we do have very limited parking at our property we do have alternate parking arrangements with Wilson car park at Central Park, 152 St Georges Terrace at which our guests are eligible for a discounted parking rate.

Carol H thank you again for your feedback. I do hope that you shall stay with us again and give us the opportunity to show you our Citadines Standard of Service.

Kind regards

We booked a premier room for one night. The king size bed was very comfortable. However, the kitchenette needs to be better equipped. Firstly, the electric kettle's coil was rusty! It looked really gross. The only saucepan that they had was so heavy! They should at least have a small one. The saucepan also smelled kind of funny. The smell of the Teflon was so strong! But I had no choice but to boil water in the saucepan as the kettle was so gross! The other gripe was parking. It was so difficult to find parking. The internet was ok. But I only used it for browsing and checking emails.

I stayed here for a night when i arrived in Perth, i booked this hotel because they interior of the room looked very nice.
When i arrived i found some stupid WA parking setup on the street where you can not park for xxxx hours, i left my car on the road and went to check in and was told by the hotel that they had no parking left, so i had to go to a Wilkins car parking far away and walk my 3 bags back to the hotel. The hotel said it would cost $15 for 24 hours, well when i went to pay it was $20 for less than 24 hours, not a big deal but no a nice way to get to a hotel.
What was bad was that they offered no help with a courtesy car or anything else.
When i went to my room i found it very new and well decorated and fitted out with nice fittings and good computer inputs.
But the bathroom had not been renovated and felt a bit yuck compared to the room.
The hotel offers free WIFI, i'm not sure if they have a data limit on for their guests but mine was average for a while, then it turned to absolute rubbish! Yes internet in 3rd world countries are better than many Australian hotels.
They have movies on offer which cost about $15; i wonder if anyone actually pays for them?
The bed was big but was a split bed so you can feel where they join, the sleeping pillows where very messy and not put into their cases very well.
I did like the slippers which were provided in the room, it would be nice if they provided a biscuit or two to go with the tea and coffees.
I think this hotel was made some big changes in recent times to improve their name.
They need to improve on a few things to make it more popular.

Hi Paul S,

Thank you for your recent feedback on your stay with us at Citadines St Georges Terrace.

I am sorry to hear about your parking experience, we do try and ensure all are aware about the limited car parking at the Property as unfortunately most are already taken up with our longer stay guest. We do as you mentioned have an arrangement with Wilson Car park at 152 St Georges Terrace which is 67 meters from the property and our closest available car parking to the property that can guarantee 24 hour access. There is a 5 minute bay at the front of the property which can be used to unload any luggage, which our Guest Service team are on hand to assist with until check in.

We do understand your feedback regarding the bathrooms and although not renovated during our major refurbishment we did install new vanities, tap fittings, painted and improved lighting in all bathrooms, we still recognize the need for more with a re-grouting process currently being completed.

Our internet does have a complimentary download limit of 2GB. As with most providers once this limit is reached the connection does become very slow. We do suggest in this instance our Guest Service Team is on hand to assist by issuing new credentials to log onto the network.
Once again thank you for your feedback and suggestions Paul S as it does assist us to rectify and check for issues that may be overlooked and to provide a better service for our guests.

Kind regards

Nathan Baker

Modern hotel in the financial district, but conveniently situated close to King's park. Top name shops are close by. We found it difficult to find a restaurant of an evening that didn't have very loud music, but the ones we eventually found did not disappoint.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The free wi-fi proved useful for researching the area.

when we arrived at our room the bar fridge had leaked all over the floor. After having maintenace look at it, it leaked again right in the path way to the bathroom (vv slippery). We were moved to another room which had a double bed, and as we were in a room with 2 singles (tiny single beds) we were not happy about having to share a bed. Too bad appranetly we had to wait to have the beds seperated later or have a shower get ready for our concert in the old room and return to the new room. What a mess, it ruined our time away from our kids and a night to spoil ourselves in the city. Why oh why didnt they jus upgrade us???
