We have just spent a week at the WA Basketball Centre and we were so impressed with the facility and the staff. We were there for a national All Schools competition and although Perth really served up some wild weather, we were warm and comfortable the whole time as we were inside this fantastic facilty.
It's a government run centre and we didn't know what to expect before we arrived, but we were so pleasantly surprised. It is 2 years old and looks brand new, it has 8 basketball/netball/volleyball courts and ball screens between them so that play on each court doesn't effect the others. The floors are also kind on the competitors as the timber is quite springy, with a lot of give in it.
There are 4 (I think) change rooms which all have numerous toilets and showers as well as ample space for the teams and their ice baths/equipment, etc.
There's vending machines for cold food and drinks (great if you're in a hurry) and also a terrific little kiosk which sells good, strong coffee.
We found all the staff to be really friendly and helpful for the whole time we were there.
We would definitely recommend the WA Basketball Centre for any suitable sports event.
