“Top rate operation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Cameron's knowledge, professionalism & passion for whale protection combine with his winning personality & friendly staff to make this the best (and most successful) whale watching experience we've had yet. Being driven onto the southern end of Cable Beach in the school bus is just the beginning of this adventure, which continues with boarding the awesome tender on the sand then driving into the sea to motor out to Tradewinds III. This was our vessel for the Sunset Cruise - clean, comfortable and well-appointed, with several options for seating/standing/viewing.

On our particular afternoon there were whales everywhere, but unfortunately they weren't too interested in visiting with us. From a distance we could see massive breaches on several occasions, but the best we could get close up was the odd fluke wave or tail lift. Nevertheless we travelled alongside numbers of mothers with calves and had a couple of young bulls come under & around the boat without coming up for a look. Cameron's respect for these magnificent creatures was appreciated by all, so we were content to allow them to leave without pursuit if he sensed that was their mood.

Good quality nibblies were offered frequently during the afternoon, and Stephanie was definitely the life of the party. Everyone on board was effusive in their praise for the whole experience, which we have no hesitation in recommending highly.

“Beautiful and Informative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Cameron and Stephanie were just great. We saw lots of whales & babies with one whale which swam right across in front of the bow. As 3 were seasick I believe one should take a tablet before going out if you don't know how you'll go. Or take some ginger beer (non alcoholic) or ginger ale with you. I'm told lemons are good too! Although soft drinks, water and nibbles are supplied, I still believe in ginger. If you can, put your camera on the setting for children & pets as it will 'snap' the moment faster I believe. I forgot to do this but still have the memories. Thank you Cameron, Stephanie & Belinda for a wonderful few hours.

“Never Done This Before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Did not know what to expect on the day. Prompt service, and pick up - make sure you have a mobile that can work in remote areas, as several of our tours did contact us to confirm changes to scheduling etc. Little tender boat took us out to the main launch and with around 15 others we were off. Saw the whales (this lot guarantee it), and went out a long way. There is nothing like watching with anticipation as the whale dives near you and you are not quite sure where they are likely to surface. One glided side on, right under the bow of the boat, while keeping a weary eye on us as we all peered down at it's enormous bulk go sliding beneath us! It was magical. I think we saw around 15 whales, some mothers with babies. Highly recommend the crew and service.

“Fabulous few hours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Although we only saw three whales - mum, calf and nursemaid - we spent most of our time on the water with them. The whales came up close several times and the calf obliging played up for us. Cameron and Stephanie looked after us all well and were very informative - only downside was that some of the passengers were seasick (it was choppy) so we had to come in a little early. Love the transfer boat as well. Highly recommended (unless you are subject to seasickness). And thanks also to Belinda who was so helpful when I booked on line.

“very friendly but proffesional crew”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

The only bad thing I can say was the bus pickup, auto door didn't work, neither did the handbrake which we unfortunately found out while the driver was in hotel picking up others. Also he could have been a bit more friendlier. Apart from that an exceptional day out. We were taken right down to the beach, greeted by the very friendly bubbly Stephanie, not a long wait before Skipper Cameron came to pick us up in Sealegs a boat with wheels to go on the beach, no need to get wet. When we arrived out on the boat we were helped on board by the crew, and met Belinda another of the crew a little more shy at first, on our way out we were given nibblies, and drinks altho not alchoholic you could take your own and they kept them in the fridge for you, no trouble to get them out for you when needed. The nibblies and drinks were available all day, I loved the way the crew found the whales but didn't annoy them just stayed back but close enough for photo opportunity. We also seen sea snakes and a turtle. A baby an her mother the baby being only 3 days old. The crew answered any questions anyone had but there were few as the crew were very informative the whole day Also we had some young ones on deck, whom got a little board after a while as it is a 4 hour cruise, but the girls had activities for them an sat with them to do the activities. The girls made you feel very special and came to visit and chat with everyone on board and not just a quick hello how are you going it was with interest and stayed for a while with each guest. Skipper Cameron also came down with an echo sounder so we got to listen to them while watching them. It was a fantastic tour and will recommend it to all I see, reasonably priced for a 4 hour tour with drinks and snacks.
