“Oysters, pearls and the beach maketh the oasis.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

Sure, everyone ends up here after facing turquoise water, red cliffs, white sand and green mangroves. Broome is a town full of vivid colour and tropical lushness, with an interesting history and composition quite unlike any other Aussie town, to boot
The early inhabitants were obviously foodies,as the town was founded because of its close proximity to vast beds of the Southern Ocean's magnificent large oyster. Broom's past and present is wrapped up in the pearls that these beds are harvested for.
The resorts of Cable beach have brought the town much publicity and sophistication. Its a fascinating oasis and a very good place to enjoy a couple of days.
Ps. dont bother dressing-up... it ain't that style of town. Whale watching is big in the season

“Gorgeous, but just not Cable.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

We only went to Town Beach once, at dawn to watch the sun rise. It was beautiful, even more colour than the sunsets. After it rose we walked along the beach with the warm water lapping at our feet. It was so lovely, but was the second best beach we've been to.

“One of my favourite places!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Magnificent crystal clear calm waters, green, green mangroves and clear white sands. If you're lucky, you can sit back and watch the locals doing traditional spear fishing or throwing the net. Great atmosphere, with backpackers using TB to cook, wash, and generally live their nomadic tourist life. One of my favourite places. However there's now a kids water park located there which can detract from your sense of peach - go on a Tuesday when the water park is closed.

“Absolutely Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

This beach is amazing, especially when viewed from the Town Beach Café while having breakfast or lunch. The turquoise sea is so relaxing, the beach is so pretty, kids would just love the outside water park, which I think is free (and shaded).

“Great visit”

Great place to relax (not swim). Has a good vibe and great little
cafe/restaurant and playground area for the kids.
