“paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

My husband and I booked for two nights and ended up booking a third, I am one that enjoys adrenalin type activities so I was unsure about how I was going to cope in such a quiet environment, well, was I wrong!!!! We stayed in an ocean front villa, I still have the photo we took from inside looking out across the patio to the ocean, as my desktop image. The service, the accommodation, the friendly atmosphere, everything was so relaxing. I treated myself to a massage, wow......
I would highly recommend everyone visit this little part of paradise, you will return again and again.
Thank you so much to the staff, they were excellent and we were lucky enough to meet the owners, whom were just part of the friendly crowd.

Where do Broome locals go to get away from it all without compromising on the fabulous Broome lifestyle? - Eco Beach!! We go every couple of months to escape 'town life' and enjoy the peace, rugged beauty, luxury accommodation at reasonable prices, good food, and total relaxation of Eco Beach Resort. Oh.. and the staff are great! We've taken a number of our Eastern State visitors and they love it too! We're hoping to fit in another visit before Christmas!!

Room Tip: Eco Tents have fans but no aircon and may not be so comfortable during the height of the wet season.

Well, where to start!! The stuff up with the booking - book a two bedroom hut to be told on arrival that it sleeps four- NOT two bedroom, just one,but can sleep two more on a couch and fold up bed!! Great for two couples! All for the princely sum of $550 p/nt ,and that was discounted a hundred cos we booked the resort out !! This included no house keeping,no byo alcohol in resort ,no meals , no access to music,TV or noise of any description apart from the constant whirring and banging of the inverter for half the night!! Dunno what was worse, that or the couch ! Also no curtains which meant being awake at first light and constant light from walkways beaming thru windows . Great sleep ? NOT. Oh, and F.A view. If you want one of those it's an extra $250!!
Just about anything it seems cost money to do apart from walkin round the retreat and on the
beach. Be warned it is VERY expensive to do nearly everything .Surprisingly the bar was at your local pub prices !! Work that out!! Probably designed to get you pissed and loosen your wallet to
.get you to do the coin making stuff!!
Anyway the last comment on the resort belongs to the food. We had a continental breakfast
one morning.Only once!! It consisted of nat yoghurt, chopped water rock and honeydew melon,a
choice of rice bubbles, cocopops, corn flakes and wheaties. Then there was the obligatory orange
and pineapple juice, teabags, instant coffee and bread-white only. All this for the princely sum of
$25 !! And be warned-you have to fight the flies out of the honey and jam bowls. Not a good
look!! I shudder to think what the full breaky or lunch and dinner were worth. And anything to do
with a credit card attracts 2% surcharge!! I can't really rate the place. We were there for a
wedding and the only good thing was the party we had. They wanted to charge over $1000 to
set up the tables . We did it ourselves. The one exception was the wedding lunch-it was great!!
To finish with, I would hate Eco Beach to be my first Aussie experience if i was an international tourist as far as getting bang for your buck goes !! The way the dollar is and the value you can get for it overseas there is no point the Aussie Tourist Commission wasting it's money promoting the country if the upper end of the industry isn't giving value for money!!
No chance of a trickle down effect to other operators here ,cos after my weekend there I'd
P_ _ _ OFF and go where my money got me some real value !!
LIKE JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD !!!

P.S as far as they reckon they've won every Award in the book - TELL'EM THEY'RE DREAMIN !!

Well I would hate Eco Beach toCf

Room Tip: Go and pick one on arrival ! They're starting to look tatty and worn already Best value are th...

We recently had 3 nights at Eco Beach staying in a garden tent. Hubby thought we should have booked the sea view - but the garden was lovely - the birds were amazing and we were not really in there for very long! There are some lovely walks around the resort - taking in breathtaking views. A must is the Jack's Creek trip with Paul - he has amazing knowledge of the flora and fauna - and what an amazing spot for sunset. We also did the whale watching trip with Noah which was fabulous - managed to see a number of mums and babies. The food is great - some people thought there was not enough choice - but we thought it was great - any more choice would be too hard - especially on holidays. Can be cool at night in the tent - but you can just rug up!!!!

Room Tip: i am sort of glad we didn't pay extra for sea view - you are not in the tent much and the bar ar...

Great food, great accommodation, wonderful staff who were maybe a little too relaxed, superb scenery, wonderful wildlife, great fishing, whale and turtle watching, no phones, tv, hairdryers or irons....what a great way to unwind

Room Tip: Ocean front are obviously the best but also the most expensive

Over all ..not bad . The good .. Perfect location ,a hidden gem ! Staff are fabulous ! The bad .. You can't eat when you want , only selected food at certain hours . Ocean view , is very minimal , pay the extra for a ocean front , but still don't expect beach front !!

My husband and I stayed at Eco Beach after we eloped in Broome in June 2012. The resort was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations in every way. We were greeted with champagne (as they knew we were only recently married) and they looked after us from the moment we stepped foot on the property.

Our stay was only one night so it was unfortunate we couldn't enjoy it for longer but we managed to fit in as much food and drink as possible. The food was first class (the best BBQ we have ever had) and the service from all staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed in an Oceanfront Villa and having stayed in a variety of 5* Hotels over the years this was by far the most enjoyable. The view was stunning and we loved every second of lounging around. We would have loved to have done some of the activities available but with so little time we just wanted to enjoy our Villa.

The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. Even though Broome is so far away from where we live (Qld) Eco Beach would be 'the' reason we would make the long journey again!

Room Tip: We looked at other accommodation options out of interest and each and every room/tent/villa has some...
