“The Pearl is the pick”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

An early December week away gave us a fabulous opportunity to experience all that Broome has to offer. The Pearl is the pick of the bunch for us, just around the corner from the famous Cable Beach. We stayed in a single room with bath which was very spacious with everything needed (not that I intended to iron anything!). Glad we hired a car as it was welcome respite from the intense humidity at tha time of year. Breakfast is included in the stay and with the small local beach cafe providing excellent home style cooking around the corner next to one of the local pubs we had everything at our fingertips. Broome, apart from the fabulous pearls offers lots to do including kayaking and also an opportunity to see the wrecks of the Catalina flying boats from the war( walk out at low tide bare foot, much more fun). A fabulous week away.

Me and my partner came to the Pearl Resort for a six night stay over Christmas 2013.
The pearl is the perfect place to unwind after a long hard year at work, the rooms are clean and well serviced daily.the pool area is beautiful and tranquil and during our stay was quiet allowing us time to ourselves.we got the continental breakfast incuded daily on our stay and this was very nice with a good variety of healthy options to choose from.
The only things that could be improved upon in our opinion are: a resort poolside Bar for daytime use when relaxing by the pool, and a night time restaurant within the resort so you do not have to travel to eat out.
After reading reviews prior to our stay,I would agree that the short walk to cable beach is longer than expected taking some 15 to 20 minutes which seems further in the heat of the day.for this reason I would recommend that any one who stays here should hire a car to get about.
Overall the pearl is a beautiful relaxing spot to enjoy a break away from everyday life !

Room Tip: A pavilion Room comes highly Recommended Complete with private Pool !

Stayed for four nights just prior to Christmas so Broome was fairly quiet. I was booked into a pavilion which had three bedrooms but the two unused ones were locked off. It was an enormous apartment for either one or two people and having a private pool was just the icing on the cake. Excellent modern facilities in the kitchen and huge bathroom, TV in the lounge and bedroom and, of course, plenty of air conditioning units throughout. The public pool area had lots of lounges and hammocks for relaxing beneath the frangipani blossom.
The only thing that lets The Pearl down is lack of restaurant or bar or even a small convenience store where supplies could be purchased. This makes a car a necessity, so make sure you book one in advance if you are travelling in high season.

We stayed in a one bedroom pavilion and originally booked for 5 nights but we were so comfortable and loved our pavilion so much we stayed on for 10...
The large open plan living area gives you plenty of room, and outdoor areas both around the private pool and the garden deck give you plenty of options.
The only negative is that if there is a noisy group staying in the pavilion next to you might end up listening to their conversation if both of you are using the outdoor BBQ and dining area at the same time.

Dear Christine_Pt_Douglas,

Another beautiful part of Australia is Port Douglas.

Thank you for choosing The Pearle for your Kimberley experience.

I do apologise for any excess noise that may have occurred from a neighbor during your stay.
Please advise us during your stay if any neighbors continue to be noisy after hours as we have a very strict noise policy within the resort and we are very active in addressing as required.

A very Happy Christmas to you.

Kind Regards,

Paul Coggan

Stayed three nights, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom pavilion to a superior 3 bedroom on arrival which was a nice surprise. Huge apartment style accommodation with our own pool and plenty of room if you had a larger family or a few friends.
Limited restaurant on site only serving continental breakfast (no lunch or dinner). We didn't mind as there were other restaurants near by and full kitchen facilities/BBQ at our pavilion. We were glad to have hired a car as even though you could walk to the beach or restaurants it's not much fun in the heat. There was also a bus stop out the front. The girl on reception was very friendly and willing to help with booking tours and making suggestions for restaurants, etc. Overall a very enjoyable short getaway.

Booked for three nights which was cheaper than booking for two even though one night we were not there. Booked a room which was nice and big with large bathroom. Nice and clean and had a nice shady table and chairs outside. Breakfast was include and had a nice choice for continental overlooking the pool area. Would have like the cafe to have been open longer and a bar to go and have a drink in the evening. Walking distance to restaurants but wear comfy shoes! We would stay here again

Good place to stay in Broome. Very helpfull staff, nice pool and a good breakfast ( only minor was the fact that the bar was only open till noon) Roomservice every day and a beautiful environment.
During our stay it was 30 degrees plus. Airconditioning worked just fine. At the moment they are working in the resort so during the week there was noise quite early. Although we noticed that the workers tried to keep the noise down. The Pearle deserves a good rating :)
