“Snorkeling at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

If you don't or can't dive, snorkeling at this easy-accessible area of the reef is great. You just rent snorkeling gear at one of the resorts or ranger places and walk right into the water at a spot you like. There's no deep crevices or anything, just wonderful white sand and you walk in as far as you feel comfortable and start snorkeling.
To me, as an absolute beginner, this was an awesome experience. I saw fish I only knew from zoo aquariums and they were so close I could have touched them- which I didn't do, of course.

“ningaloo station on the ningaloo reef”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

if there is a heaven on earth this place has to be it...I have been going up there for over 30 years ,the beautiful sunsets.the fantastic quiet,no phones unless you take an arial.the fish ,the whales ,the sharkes ,the walkes, the coral, the diving ,the fishing, and of course then there is jack the potatoe cod a very large one...the big blue cad that loves to steal your fish ..but who cares just to see him every day in nature is worth losing the fish ,so don't worry about the rough road in and that there is no toilets that you have to bring your own chemical one,or that there is no internet or gaming, unless you have an arial,or that there is no showers ,you bring your own water ,it will not matter what is not there .all you will care about is that you were there and was lucky enough to find a great spot like Ningaloo station . ,so just do it go there VICKI

“MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN GR8 BARRIER REEF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

AS CLOSE TO HEAVEN AS A MAN OR LADY WOULD WISH TO BE! Absolutely beautiful place.Beautiful people,Resort or caravan parks walking distance to the water, fish come into shallow water daily which you can be part of mind blowing in a few feet of water,Great Bakery with extensive range to choose from and great coffee,Lovely gourmet pizza available in town Small place but worth a stop for sure,In my opinion better than great barrier reef,Fishing charters to choose from or just cruise the reef in a glass bottom boat,This is a MUST see place Do Not Stop on the highway and stay in rest bay when this little Beauty Exist Average Temp 30 Degrees 9 months of the year. Please Enjoy Safe Travels

“Must go back again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

ningaloo reef near Exmouth is just an amazing place for its diversity of marine wildlife, the fact that the reef is accessible right of the many beaches, and the amazing red dirt ranges that run along the landside of the reef. I really believe it was better than the Great Barrier Reef because you don't need to go a cruise to access it. And it is far less developed. Wonderful! Allow a week.

“Simply stunning.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Swim with the whale sharks, have fun watching the playful dolphins and exalt in the majesty of the migrating whales. Book a charter tour out to the reef and get up close but not too personal with magnificent sea life at either Coral Bay or Exmouth. But note the time of year as the whale sharks and whales are seasonal and more likely to be seen in winter. The water is still warm then too. Be sure to take a fast camera as the whales breach and return pretty quickly.

This is an experience which is an absolute must.
