Still a secret tomany - a very friendly unprepossing restaurant - almost like a European community restaurant.
I was first introduced to Gills by guests at the Westin - I had asked the Concierge to recommend something different and he came up with all the same old, same old.
Fortunately though, other guests heard the conversation and said you must try "Gills".
The concierge kept insisting that Mr...... would not go there, he likes only 5 star etc.
How wrong he was and I was looking for help like these other guests gave.
It is laid back, lacks pretension and the staff are wonderful but the knockout was the duck dish - best I had had in years.
I've been back many times and even though the initial magic has gone, I stilllove it.
