“A true Melbourne icon - unchanged since the 1950's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Wonderful 50's atmosphere with egalitarian counter seating. Almost always busy and lively with lots of character. I normally come here in colder months for a dependable Italian coffee and excellent apple strudel. I haven't tried their pastas in a while; apparently large portions but not so refined. Old school, granita's are popular in summer.

“The Best Lasagna!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

I have been frequenting this restaurant for decades and my recent visit inspires this review. Conveniently located in Melbourne CBD this tiny Italian cafe is perfect. I could eat their lasagna every day.
The lasagna comes as a generous serving with good texture, pasta al dente with a generous portion of meat sauce, topped with fresh parmesan and a fresh white bread roll on the side. As much as it would be perfect to enjoy with a medium bodied red from Tuscany the restaurant is not licensed and a doppio macchiato must suffice.
These guys have been doing pasta and coffee for generations and I have to say that this is my favourite Melbournian restaurant.

“Iconic Vittoria Coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

When De Niro talks coffee you know he's talking sense. Vittoria. I have been visiting Nino and Sisto for 40 years. The coffee is always good because the people who make it know what to do. Love the ambience and the food.

“Love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012 via mobile

Whenever I go to Melbourne I always stop here for a hearty Italian dish. The lasagna melts in your mouth and the ravioli is nothing short of superb.

Also a glass of the watermelon granita is the perfect way to start your meal.

Service is awesome. Can't speak highly enough of the place.

The first date my husband took me on was a lovely italian dinner at Pellegrinis, that was 25 years ago. Still going strong and deservedly so.
