Visited Coda because of the positive comments from Tripadvisor. We were lucky to have gotten two seats at the bar on a Saturday night with no waiting at all.
Picked four appetizers .... Oysters, scallops, crispy prawns and yellow fin tuna salad. Each dish was carefully prepared to bring out the freshness of the main ingredient, as well as garnishes to give the dish multiple taste dimensions and sophistication.
For main course we chose the fish of the day, which was pan fried fish cooked in a black colored sauce (I have to confess that due to the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant, I did not fully grasped the waitress' description of the dish)! One highlight of this dish was the fresh squid (tasted like squid sashimi) which was so so soft and fresh!
We liked sitting at the bar cos we can see all the chefs in action. All of them were so immersed in their work to prepare these delicious dishes for us.
We will be back to Coda if visit Melbourne again in the future. And would definitely recommend it to our friends.
