“Small rooms but good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

My husband and I stayed here during a recent trip. Its a great location right in the middle of the city however the rooms are absolutely tiny. I guess you get what you pay for as it was a very good room rate. There was limited cleaning of the rooms - limited to emptying the rubbish and replacing towels - no actual cleaning/making bed etc. Shower facilities are separated from the room itself by a curtain! Despite this I think we'd stay here again given the location and price but not for more than 1 or 2 nights!

The rooms are tiny, the shower is tiny, the toilet is tiny, the lifts are tiny, the corrider to your room is tiny. To enjoy your stay, hou can't have a big physique. There are no phones in your room to connect you to reception in case you have any complaints or queries. Believe it, you will need to refer to reception desk if this is your first stay here, just like se sere. The rooms are not made up everyday, unless you ask and remind them to. Without the room phone, you have to go down to reception using the tiny lift. The toilet and shower are separate. There's nk bidet in the toilet. So if you're used to washing rather than wiping after answering nature's call, you have to improvise. And there's no parking space in front of the hotel. That means you have to carry your luggage for about 20 metres before you reach the hotel entrance. You better have a trolley with you, mate.
But its not all bad news. The location is just strategic. The vending machines, the self-service laundry and the free flow of coffee, tea, water in the dining hall is a real blessing. You can buy paced food outside or even microwave meals and you can save quite a bit here. Reception is quite helpful in meeting basic needs.
Stay in this place, give it a try. You may or maynot regret it. But if you treat it as a learning experience to stay here, its not too bad.

Stayed here for four nights with friends, could not recommend it enough. We had an issue with our room (the people in the next were incredibly loud and we couldn't sleep at all the first night) and the staff moved us to another one without a problem. The beds were comfy, the shower and toilet were clean and there isn't much else you can ask for. Right in the heart of the city, it's in a perfect location and at less than $90 a night, we loved it here. We will be back.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for a new room if you don't like the one you're in!

I was in Melbourne for a conference. This was centrally located for CBD and only 15-20 minute walk to the Exhibition Centre. Skybus dropped me virtually at the front door.

The room was small - literally only a double bed (with a single bunk above) a small corner table, a shower and a toliet. It was clean and neat. The staff were excellent - very helpful and efficient.

This was just a place for me to sleep so wasn't concerned about "luxuries".

Stayed for 4 nights at less than $100/night. Wouldn't go there as a holiday hotel with the family but it was perfect for me for this business trip. Would go again with no worries.
