“Affordable, clean and neat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

One of the more affordable hotels with close proximity to Flinders St station! There's a Coles just opposite the hotel, and many small eateries nearby. No problem with safety at night as this spot is quite lively and relatively well-lit.

Only thing is you might hear noises from the trams that are running pass in the morning/ night, but I sort of like the quaint sounds of the tram bells (I'm from a country without trams!) :)

They allowed me to keep my luggage in the storeroom for a few days prior to my check-in as I was going to the Great Ocean Road and did not want to lug my luggage around.

Oh and the first room they gave me wasn't properly made up, but they promptly gave us a new room which was slightly more spacious as it was a corner room so there is a short corridor in the room before reaching the bed.

Waiting for the lift might take a while though.. but overall a pretty good stay!

I've stayed here many times as it's the best value best positioned budget hotel in Melb CBD.

The measure of success for a budget place is if everything works, and if you're lucky enough not to have annoying people in the rooms nearby. This visit was without any problems which makes it a winner :-)

If you haven't stayed here before, don't expect shampoo, a flannel, or sports and movie channels. But you can expect your own toilet, shower, towel, soap, and aircon. Great at the price and location.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2012 via mobile

This is the best hotel I've stayed in for value for money.
It only has two stars, but it is a 5 star 2 star hotel.
I got one of the last rooms available, and it was a family room and I only paid $89 dollars for the night.
I couldn't find a cheaper hostel for that price.
It had air con, shower and toilets in the room, plus a tv.
The beds were great and comfy.

I will definatley come back here again, why pay more when you can stay here in comfort.
Also the area is pretty quiet.
