“Very Yummy and warm service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

My family love this restaurant. Very good Thai food place in Melbourne. My father and mother love Tom Yum soup here, Hot and Spicy! Warm service and helpful waiter. The food test better and more spicy compare to Lygon st. branch. Recommended for every family!

“The best thai food with reasonable price, love it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

A good variety of thai food, great asian taste!
My favorite ones are BBQ pork, tom yum soup and rawn vermicelli salad. Coconut ice-cream is one of the best desserts either by itself or with sticky rice.
Average service n atmosphere, but definitely worth a try. I'm going there again soon and strongly recommend to others too.

“Great Thai food in Richmond, Melbourne”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Afrer few months in Melbourne, we haven't get used to australian taste bud with BBQ, sausages and sandwich. Ying Thai has been cured our longing for asian food. You have to try their fried rice, and don't forget their thai salad with crispy pork skin (i forgot their thai name.. Yum...???). And also taste their chicken in pandan leaves. This is our third visit to Ying Thai, I believe there will be many more.

“Nice food with helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We came here on a Tuesday night after reserving a table for 4. The place was bright and a bit distracting with the plasma tv showing various programs and videos. We had brought a bottle of wine and a few beers and they were quick to bring us glasses.

We chose the fish cakes and chicken satay sticks to start. The fish cakes were nice, but a bit chewy and needed the sauce. The chicken satay sticks were ok but nothing special. We ordered a Penang curry (mild) and one with a bit of heat to it. We also ordered the beef with oyster sauce and the red curry with beef.

The mild Penang curry was very nice and well seasoned. The slightly hotter one was very spicy however. The beef with oyster sauce was very nice but maybe a bit salty, and the red curry was very nice but the beef was on the tough side. They brought us a large Tupperware for the rice and they were quick to replace it when we managed to eat it all! The staff were very nice and attentive. It was $3 corkage per person but they didn’t charge the two of us who had brought one beer each along.

The bill came to just over $100 for the four of us which was reasonable considering the quality and the quantity of the food. We’ll definitely be back!

“Great food, better service and atmosphere than the other branch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Love this place. Great food. Love the Crispy Pork Skin salad. Brought my friend and her mum and we came back here again the next day. Lunch time here is quite and much better than the way-to-busy-to-serve-you branch.
