Lucky Chans on a Saturday night is well organised chaos - We had booked so were lucky to get in as it seemed they wanted to turn the tables over in the early part of the evening . There was never an empty table which must say something for the quality of the food which I found slightly bland - especially after eating regularly at weekends in Springvale's vast array of Vietnamese and chinese restaurants - We had Salt & pepper squid $14.50 and an assortment of Dim Sum $10 ( 3 pieces) for entree which piqued our tastebuds for the next dishes. The mains were both $29-50 per dish -Szeuchuan Chicken and Sweet and sour pork in batter- Both were reasonably tasty enough but the chicken dish could have used a bit more Szeuchan as it was quite bland . Our local chinese does a far better job at half the price. Drinks are about the norm with imported beers $9.50 + and cocktails are $15.00. All in all a pleasant experience but a Saturday night may not be the best
choice as you feel you are being "rushed" to finish your meal to make way for other waiting diners.
