First thing to say about Chois is how clean everything is. The levels of service and food quality have never disappointed in the 100's of times we have been here. It is a restaurant where the locals frequent it regularly and we see familiar faces every time we come here. We have celebrated birthdays, staff functions, and impromptu dinners and Chois maintains a standard of great Chinese cuisine.

“Australian Chinese”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

This would have to be the best Chinese restaurant in Australia. I have eaten here many times and usually just eat from the Entree menu and one main course. Good wine list good attentive service. There are just too many good items on the menu to single one out so my suggestion is forget the banquets, main course and just work your way through and entree menu. You will love it!

“Outstanding food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

Choi's has maintained an impressive reputation for around two decades - and it just keeps getting better! As suburban Chinese restaurants fare, this one has no peer! Some reviewers have compared it to the city's esteemed Flower Drum - and why not?! If you are looking for somewhere to celebrate an occasion, Choi's has an upmarket feel of luxury about it - enhanced by the gorgeous 5 star hotel-style bathrooms. The food is sublime - and for dessert, try the toffee apple ice cream. It's perfect to share. Simply stunning. And no, it's not cheap; but if you take your own wine (at $4 corkage pp) it helps ease the pain!

“The two best thing in Hawthorn? Choi's and Mr Lee!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

Choi's is one of the true constants in life - terrific contemporary Chinese food in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Some Chinese friends who like to stick to very traditional cuisine find some of the dishes too contemporary but for me this fusion with some Western ingredients is a excellent. There is a good wine list and, at times, I've found some vintage bargains. If you're lucky, you'll get served by the charming Mr Lee who is almost as much an institution as Choi's itself. Like most Chinese restaurants, families are more than welcome and this is a perfect place for family celebrations (particularly if Mr Lee is there). You'll find many of the diners here are so regular that they don't need a menu and that's a good sign. The only drawback - there's a step in the middle of the room that can be treacherous after a good Peking Duck and a few glasses of pinot - what out if you're in high heels.

“I dream of Peking Duck”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

We have visited Choi's on multiple occasions and have always found the food to be excellent. The peking duck pancakes for entree are always delicious and crispy. We have recently discovered the duck with plum sauce as a main and would highly recommend it to anyone dining here.
