Owner description: Nothing you have ever experienced will prepare you for the awe inspiring view of Melbourne from the observation deck of the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located at Level 88, Eureka Skydeck is Melbourne's new 'must-see' attraction. Skydeck 88 is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with the Edge - a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building, with you in it!

“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

The tower itself is fantastic and well worth the money, the views are great from every angle and the lift very quick indeed. My only problem with the skydeck was the ridiculous price of "the edge" not only do they charge you 12 dollars for it, they will not let you take your camera in so you have to purchase the ones taken on there camera which was expensive to say the least.
However the skydeck is well worth the visit just do not do the edge.

“Best view during Sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

I have been here on numerous occasions, mainly being a tourist guide for my friends and family. The view from up the deck is magnificent! Took a lot of photos, with handy mini 'scopes to tell you what landmark is in front of you.
I have done 'The Edge' twice, and personally I wouldn't pay for myself. *waste of money*
Keep that extra money for a cruise on Yarra River instead.

“The best view in Melbourne!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Great value and an excellent way to get a vbiew of the one of the biggest Metro areas in the worl. On a clear day you can see all of the city's main attractions at under $20. There is also food and drinks at the top so you can stay there for a while and enjoy the views.

“Good Views of the City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Went with Friends - last minute shall we or not... but it was worth the $18 good views, got some good pictures and puts the city in perspective.

The outside viewing platform was windy, but enjoyable.

Don't bother with the additional extra 'The Edge' you better going outside and taking your own pictures.

Not the tallest or best, but a good Melbourne thing to do.

“Great view, awesome 'The Edge' experience but night photos are tough”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

I was really excited to go to the eureka skydeck and see what it was like. I bought the sun and stars ticket with 'the edge' experience and photo. The views are really great (make sure you go on a clear, cloudless day) and there wasn't a lot of wind so going out on the open air ledge was nice. The edge experience gives you a really weird feeling, when they take you out the glass is opaque so you can't see anything, then all of a sudden you can see below you and your brain tells you that you should be falling but because you're not it takes some time to adjust to the feeling, and then moving out for the photo to the side of the box furthest away from the building is again weird as you feel like you're walking on nothing or air to get there. Obviously don't do it if you're afraid of heights - you will not do well. The only thing I was disappointed with was the reflections on the inside of the glass when you take pictures, you just can't get a clear picture (they probably do that so you have to buy the postcards and books in the gift shop)
