Time to step out of reality and into a tutu or tights ... well at least you can pretend. The Australian Ballet's production of Onegin at the Sydney Opera House, with Tchaikovsky's score played beautifully by the accompanying orchestra, was just delightfully whimsical and passionately played and danced by the wonderful cast. Of particular note were the incredible costumes and the stage sets which were out of this world (with the latter having been borrowed from a European company). Sydney Opera House proved a more than fitting venue for the production which was a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours. A wonderful love story with a twist. The artistic, acting and dance capabilities of the ballet company were of the highest quality. A must do if you're into the arts ... a great place for little girls (and bigger/older girls) and guys alike.
