“Clean and friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Lovely hotel, ok location. Quiet on weekend though. Hard to find anywhere close for breakfast. Might be ok during the week. But not too bad accommodation wise at least. It is a fair walk from most of the things to do in Melbourne.

Stayed here for 4 days and it was a good experience with everything I needed as well as a comfortable and modern feel to the place. Rooms are equipped with fairly complete kitchen facilities as well as washer and drying in a closet in the bathroom. Internet service was a modest cost but was fully reliable, an important consideration to business travelers. Lots of breakfast places and some good restaurants close by. I enjoyed my stay.

If you are looking for an upmarket stay, then this is not the place.
Pros-
great location (Southern Cross Station is a 5 min walk), plenty of food joints/ restaurants nearby (which sadly close by 8:30/ 9 on weekdays), clean environs, helpful reception, apartment-style accomodation - with added amenities such as washing m/c, dryer, kitchenette etc.
Cons-
Not so spacious rooms (you can hardly move about in the 1-bed apartment), no dining facility, most rooms not well lit, good for business/ transit visits only, rates on the higher side (Travelodge down the road is distinctly cheaper)

Room Tip: Try the higher floors - they get more natural light

Quest Docklands would be a great spot if you were attending an event at Etihad and wanted to be a stone's throw away. However, the location isn't great other than that, as it's very quiet of an evening - and not an area that I would walk around. My room was literally looking onto the ticket box for Etihad.

The rooms are not terribly spacious and it is for people who want facilities for cooking etc. Breakfast room service was a very limited selection, and so it's not ideal you want to grab a bite before heading to the office.

The rooms were clean, and very plain in decor. For the price, I think there are better options in town, however, it comes down the convenience of location and cooking facilities.

Well located close to the city and also walking distance of the many Docklands restaurants. When we arrived, discovered that I had booked a one bedroom studio apartment (read hotel room) for 10 days, whereas I thought I had booked a one bedroom apartment which has additional room for a sofa and dining table. The staff found a one bedroom apartment for the first 3 nights , but we were going to have to spend the following 3 nights in a studio apartment, and then move again. Happy to do this as it was my error in the room booking. Also happy to pay the extra $30 per night for the larger room. When it came time to move, no one bedroom apartments available, but a 2 bedroom apartment was, so we were put into that room for the remainder of the stay and only had to pay the price of a one bedder. Very nice ! We'll be staying again.

Room Tip: Go for a one bedroom apartment, not a studio apartment

nice, clean and modern apartments despite being a bit stuffy. location is a bit far unless you are going to the footy or based in docklands. close to the southern cross station so easy to get to and from the airport. staff were friendly but could have been a little more help. overall not a bad stay, a little on the pricey side though.

Dear Justin,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review and positive rating regarding your recent stay. I am delighted to hear that you found your apartment to be clean and modern; and the hotel friendly. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the team.

I agree, with the property being located so close to Southern Cross Station, it makes it an ideal location to base yourself, if you are planning to explore Melbourne or go to an event at Etihad Stadium.

Thank you again for your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future.

Opposite Etihad stadium so perfect for the AFL or any event held there. Fully equipped kitchen, small balcony and very clean room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Have stayed here twice and would return. Close to transport, shopping, CBD and Docklands.
