The location I thought was a little far from the city centre with no access to trams or buses near by. Seemed a bit removed with not a great number of people around that area, seemed like a run down suburb with nothing on offer. It was fairly close to southbank on the river, which was great, atmosphere was great there, and we could see the flames from our apartment.

We were given an apartment that faced the apartments in the next building, so we didn't use the balcony. The inside of the apartment was excellent, clean, no complaints there. Had unlimited internet access for $40. The windows go right to the floor in the bedrooms (although not great when looking at your neighbours).

The pool was aparently supposed to be heated, but it was like ice!!

The place were we checked in down the road was like a run down real estate office, not a good first impression. Cost of the apartment was very reasonable though.

Next time we will stay in the buzz of the city where all the action is.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom standard apartment on the 27th floor in City tower. Though we had not specifically requested it, we were put in a corner that gave us stunning views out over the docks and into the bay. The bedrooms are arranged with an all glass corner that gives the impression that you are almost floating over the city! The rest of the appartment was well appointed, with modern, stylish furnishings, and all the equipment required for the three of us to be comfortable, though it would have been nice if there were more crockery and cutlery to enable us to go a couple of days and fill the dish washer properly. Although we did not use them, the pool and gym on the 6th floor looked clean and well maintained, and the service from the booking office was very good, and helpful when required. The location was also very good for us, as although it is a 5-10 min walk from Southgate and Fliders street, it is right on the corner of Power street, which gives direct access to the main citylink toll road out of Melbourne East and West - perfect as we hired a car (from Budget about 200m down the road) and drove out to Phillip Island one day and the Great Ocean road another, with no delays due to traffic. Overall, a comfortable modern apartment with excellent views, which represents good value for money.
