This was our second visit to Melbourne and The Langham. On both occasions the hotel lived up to all our expectations. Beautiful lobby, high quality furnishings and very attentive / friendly staff contributed to a very enjoyable stay. The room was beautifully decorated and very functional with free WiFi / wired internet connection. The restaurant overlooks the Yarra river and the selection / quality of the food was superb. Checking in and out very efficient and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the city centre and Flinder's Street station. Would we return - definitely! Not cheap but provides everything expected of a high quality city centre hotel.

The Langham is a beautiful, quietly elegant hotel that fully deserves its number 1 TripAdvisor ranking. We arrived after an early flight at 10.00am, and were thrilled to be able to check into our room straightaway. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a fabulous view over the Yarra River. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Flinders Street rail station, and the central business district.

What made the Langham special were the extra touches (such as complimentary water and daily newspapers) and eagerness to please on the part of staff. Although we did not dine in the restaurant, we did order room service on a couple of occasions. The food arrived quickly, was elegantly presented, and delicious.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We stayed for 2 nights, visited Sydney for ten nights and then returned to The Langham Melbourne for another 2 nights.
I have an interest in hotels for my company managing all business travel and take service into consideration hugely particularly at these 5* hotels, and I am delighted having stayed at The Langham,Melbourne.
Service is exceptional. Swift check in, a beautiful river view room on the executive floor. The room was cleaned exceptionally by our maid and the amenities and turn down service really good. Other hotels should take note!
The executive club is really very good. Having just stayed in the Sheraton in Sydney whose exec club was a disaster where you had to fight for a table and wait ages for service, it was a pleasant return to The Langham Melbourne. Attentive, personal service by Suzanne, Ryan and the others. Service exceptional. breakfast and evening canapés superb. Highly recommended.
Guest relations even escorted us to the exec lounge upon our check in and ensured we were well looked after which we were.
The pool and spa is lovely and the terrace gets the daily sunshine and is a nice place to chill out.
I would highly recommend this hotel and if I am fortunate enough to visit again I would definitely stay here.
All of the staff are extremely happy and polite, all wishing you a good day. Genuinely.
We had a late flight and check out being midday was no hassle as we checked out and left our bags with the bell desk. We were then able to shower and use the spa facilities to change before our airport pick up.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday as a surprise and it was a really amazing stay that wont be forgotten.

Our room was no. 1635 a grand corner river view (newly refurbished). We had an Amazing view of the river, flinders street station and fed square, it's deffinitely worth getting a room with a view. The all marble bathroom with separate bath and shower was gorgeous too.

We ordered room service for dinner which was great the seafood is great a little pricey but yum.

Overal the langham is wonderful the service was brilliant and the room beautiful king bed was super comfy and we didn't want to leave the next day.

this would be a perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway especially I'f your not from Melbourne as the location is perfect and close to everything.
