Lots here for children to see and do. It's a hands on museum and the planetarium and lightening rooms are a must. Adults will love this place too as it'll awaken the child within.
Take the kids on the ferry to scienceworks for a great day out. Lots of interactive exhibits, and the journey across the water is a bonus attraction. It can also be accessed by car, or by train to Newport station.
Whoever dreamed up the idea of Scienceworks Museum needs a big pat on the back. It is amazing and always changing.
It is always very busy, particularly during school holidays. You are requested to book in advance for any special lectures or video.
I was a little disappointed that staff did not better control access to all of the devices. Certain devices were monoplogised by older children, even teenagers.
Well worth a visit, especially when speacial exhibitions are on. Plenty of parking. Best to take your own food and sit outside as the cafeteria does not serve too may healthy food options.
