Beautifully restored, one of Melbourne's best arcades, lovely little cafes, some quirky shops, quiet & unhurried.
We took a Melbourne walking tour and discovered a side of Melbourne we had not been aware of before with the Block Arcade being one of the highlights. We now have a new and different perspective of Melbourne!
This quaint arcade in the heart of the shopping mall is pure history of Melbourne's architecture. Something that is all too quickly eroding from this beautiful city. The arcade is filled with a range of stores, from cafes, jewellery, bags and clothes. It is well worth the visit for its architecture alone.
This is a must see for those who would love to get to know a bit of Melbourne's shopping history. Beautiful architecture in this historical arcade. Great shopping and food too.
The history behind the architecture and the materials used to build the Block is an eye opener. Worth a visit.
